They were still untried as senior coaches  I did cover myself off on that one.

Voss coached the Lions' reserves when he broke his leg, but he hasn't done any real coaching in his life.

He needs an autocue coach. Hopeless sports reader.

But a great reader of the play. :)

Sure, Voss would be no good.
Just like untried coaches like Clarko!

The way I see it ATM, if FEV plays, he had a major role in Denis going. He will also be apart of our long term plans. We are also trying to win this week!!

Voss is the modern day Barassi.
The great modern day Carlton began with the arrival of George Harris. We had been in the doldrums for many years until George lobbed on the scene. He turned the club around.............
How ? ..........he was a dashing, devil may care, never say die sort of bloke who took a HUGE gamble by punting on an untried coach. It was all or nothing for George.George being George siezed the moment and went for broke......he took the massive gamble and succeeded gloriously.
The moment has arrived again folks.Be bold, brave, swift, and decisive.
Voss is the man.Go get him and stop effing around.

Sure is Agro..........contrary to what people believe, history DOES repeat itself. And we have that perfect oppurtunity to replicate it now.I have never been so certain of a bloke than i am of Voss.Born to lead.Forget about experience and all that stuff. You are a leader or you arent. The minor details will take care of themselves. For all the wonderous theories about coaching and what is required........it all boils down to one thing.
You have to have the ability to MOTIVATE and INSPIRE.No one does it better than Voss.

Just seems a bit too narrow minded if you ask me.

It shouldn't surprise you Speakers that Vossy is bringing his own ex team-mates along for the ride because as some seem to have forgotten, the GUY HAS NO PREVIOUS COACHING EXPERIENCE and therefore would not choose outside of what and who he knows.

At least he knows they won't stab him in the back and try and take his job

Writing's on the wall Fevolution. Suck it up champ.

Oh course, it all gets denied here:

but which sounds more convincing ... personally I'd take the word of the anonymous Voss hangeron anyday in the current climate.

If Josh says Voss has it, then that's as good as an official announcement for me.

I suspect that the real interest will be in who else comes with him, and in what roles. Go back to the discussion with the Board members from last week on TC. What did they emphasise above all else? The Football Department. So many questions came back to an answer that we need a well resourced football department... it came across as being priority number one, two, and three.

Reading between the lines, this whole coaching issue is about much more than just the coach, it is about putting together a new model of football operations that will be designed to carry this Club well into the future. I think the really interesting thing will be to see the model that is adopted, and the broad range of personnel that we fit into it. Maybe we've been looking at those NFL models that were raised in the BomberBlitz (makes me sick to say it) article that EB posted yesterday? Regardless, I think we are about to see the real value of a forward-looking, intelligent, and well resourced Board of Directors.

I like what i read in the Australian. If only we can fast forward to the end of season.

Question: Voss is contracted to Brisbane still, i assume this will expire on the 31st October like most contracts. Does this mean Voss cannot assume a coaching role until his playing contract has expired?

And says something the opposite about Fev here a couple of weeks ago.
