A fairly basic sounding subject line I'll admit, but you'd have to imagine that with Voss on board, a number of AFL players, including some fairly significant members of the AFL elite would like to learn more about the game under his tutorlidge.

Wouldn't you?

Hey Bluey, I am going to get nightmares with your avator tonight........ I think you need to let go now.

ARRRRGGGGG Dont want to see that face on anything Carlton again.

PS You are right about Voss, I reckon many players would want to play under him.

I would think that any of Voss, Ratten, McKenna, etc wold be enough to interest players.

Then Pratt / Swann etc and their sweet talking and money and anything is possible.

Valid point....I think Voss would attract better players and give them the confidence the club is on the way up....not so sure that Brett Ratten has that same appeal.

Its one thing to have players interested in playing for Carlton, its another thing to get them here.

Anyone we try to sign via the PSD will be snapped up by Richmond, so we'd have to get 2 gun players nominate.

The other option is to trade and we still have to work out a deal with their club. The deal for Judd or Pavlich could cost us 3-4 good players.

I'm mystified cos how the hec are we going to get these players past Richmond and possibly Melbourne.

We certainly don't have much on our list worth trading, but we will have either one or two top notch picks in the draft, surely we wouldn't trade those away at this stage.

To get a Jud or Pav or anyone substantial for that matter I just don't see us having the currency....Fev???? Well no doubt someone will want him but I certainly wouldn't want him at my club....Oh wait a minute he is: lol: plus his value is a bit iffy.

We certainly shouldn't trade our very few talented youth away. It would be "robbing Peter to pay Paul".

Every year we discuss this very same matter and guess what....nothing ever eventuates. All we possibly do is help bump up a few players’ salaries.

The only new attraction will be our new coach but even he won't be able to work miracles to get new players legally through the door even if they wanted to come on over.

So what’s the answer? Are the AFL going to rush free-agency back in just for us because they have suddenly remembered just how much they love us?

I don't think Vossy would be such a draw card for players. Pagan, love him or hate him, couldnt convince Harvey or Sinclaire to leave the Roos.... I'm in favour of Voss, just don't know if it would be such a plus for recruiting players... couldn't hurt. Imagine if Libba was Coach.. Players would avoid us even more!
