I hope Essendon* get Pagan

Would't that be good :-D To follow on in the tradition of Allen, Justin Murphy & Campo.

Maybe he could take Ackland with him & he could draft Zantuck as well

Some people at Essendon* like Denis Pagan....

http://www.bomberblitz.com/forum/index. ... =35013&st=

I think Denis Pagan would be the best

He is in touch with the modern game, has the processes in place to develop, nurture and grow young talent. Not only was he sacked too early from Carlton, he also was never given a proper chance to coach given the hardships he faced when he came to Carlton

Now he has a CHF he can build the team around like he did in the early 90s

His coaching philosophy of KICK IT TO CAREY can now be applied to Gumbleton, with a mosquito fleet of Stanton, Winderlich, Lovett and McVeigh ready at the fall of the ball

Mal Michael can be our gorilla Full Back like Mick Martyn and JJ can be the new David Calthorpe

GET DENIS!

Happy for him to go there, but I couldnt stand Kevin Sheedy at Carlton in any capacity whatsoever.

He hates Carlton anyway, wo I dont think it would happen. - but Id love them to take Pagan. In fact they should sign him for 3 years.

John Elliot was interest in Kevin Sheedy,i reckon he is the best coach in the last 30 years also even thou i hate the bombers more then any club,i still reckon he can coach but are we looking at someone to coach for 3-5 years top or is it 10 years plus more.

Former Carlton president John Elliott, who was responsible for luring Pagan from the Kangaroos, had little pity for the dual premiership coach.

"He had to go and it was inevitable," Elliott said.

"Denis never really embraced Carlton and he'd lost the players.

"The group wasn't playing for him and that became painfully obvious on Sunday. It is definitely the right decision."

Elliott, who denied yesterday that he hired Pagan in 2003 for political reasons, has already endorsed Michael Voss as Pagan's long-term replacement.

"I think Voss would be fantastic and I'd even try and have a Voss and (former coach David) Parkin combination, to help Michael in his first couple of years," Elliott said.

"And if Essendon* axe (Kevin) Sheedy, then he would be an outstanding candidate and would be worth looking at."

After the watching Sheedy on the footy show tonight and when he was asked about if he wanted to coach again, didn't say yes but did mention about changing landscape and that maybe a coach adviser.

Maybe an adviser to Voss could be on the cards.

TBH I felt the same thing listening to him tonight.. he said there are many lists out there who need someone to guide them etc. my first thought was sheeds with Voss... he got the arse from the Dons so owes them no loyalty.. and he comes across as someone who loves a challenge........

*Carlton=Proud Club
*Carlton=Cellar dwellers for last few years
*Carlton=Looking at inexperienced coaches who need a mentor

SHEEDS=DING DING DING

I think the biggest thing Sheedy would be looking for at this stage of his career is:

$$$$$$$

Therefore, you have a club that may be taking on an untried coach who has a president worth $5Billion dollars.

Sheedy may see a gig as a 'mentor' as easy money for a couple of years.

John Elliot mentioning Sheedy. Would you really trust a man who broke the bank of a broke club to land Denis?
