Thanks for the memories...actually maybe not.

But I do believe that Denis gave his all, his failure was not due to lack of trying and his support of some players was amazing, this is despite words to the contarray.

I had the advantage of being in prematch sessions a couple of times and a couple of chances to sit in the coaches box during games and Denis was always fair and encouraging.

Wrong man at the wrong time. He was really happy to be at Carlton when he first arrived but the rug was pulled out from him from day one.

I wish him well, and trust now that we all have what we want that all true blues treat him with some decency now.

Ditto.

Best of luck Denis. You'll get through it.

Great post. I am happy he is gone, a change was overdue - BUT the stuff that was posted about him here sometimes was just unacceptable and a lot (like relationship to the playing group) was untrue. I also met DP a few times and he is a decent bloke and did not deserve some of the stuff posted here.

I agree with the wrong time bit, but disagree with the wrong man part a bit. At the time of his appointment and the stuff that happened afterwards, he was probably the right man for the job in tough times.

However, IMHO, he has led the way to his own downfall by refusing to be creative until it was too late.

I wholeheartedly agree - we should treat all ex-players, coaches and officials with respect after they leave the club - no matter how they performed at the time. It would be nice if that occurred however given past history I dont really see it happening.

Good luck to him with whatever the future holds

Yes good post EB. It appears that he was not suited to managing the demands of coaching a young developing group in the 21st Century. In five years time it will be interesting to see how these past five years will be perceived.
I wish him well - as a coach there are only two aspects that are definite, the day you are hired and the day you are fired (or leave of your own volition when you know what the alternative is!)

good luck to Denis

thankyou for building the foundation on which our next premiership will be built on.

when we win no 17 my 1st beer will be for Carlton FC, my second beer will be for Denis Pagan.

All the best to Denis, it's a shame things have panned out the way they have.

IMO Denis has handled himself well unlike some at the club in his 5 years, but that is all in the past now.

Good Luck Denis, you did all you could, your a very good coach but there nothing more you could do for the blues. You have built this list to be a top side in the future, and we thank you for that. I was a big fan of denis but there was nothin more he can do.

THANKS DENIS AND GOOD LUCK :-D

Cheers Denis, when push came to shove you stepped aside when requested, and in the mean time you gave your all.

Best wishes in your future endeavours .
