Pros:

Gibbs in the middle showed glimpses of what a star he will be.
Kennedy although not a ruckman played his best game for us IMO.
Walker never stops trying.

Cons:

Ditto . Gibbs' last quarter was good.

Cons: Pagan gone?

PROS:

- Kennedy had his best game for the club. Held some marks and presented around the ground.
- Gibbs gave glimpses of his awareness and class.
- Bower looked better in patches. Still looks a bit scared. but just needs confidence.
- Russell can be a good linkup player when used through centre and wings. Unfortunately we didnt have the ball.
- We are not that bad. The players didnt try which makes me ill. But i know we are better than that. The boys rolled over and disgraced the jumper. But they rolled over for a reason.

CONS:

- Faaarrk where do we start.

Pros
Next year we will have a new coach, picks #1 & #3, our current younger players will be better and (hopefully) Nick Stevens will return to 100% fitness.

These factors should result in a substantial improvement.

I thought Bower was probably the best I have seen him.

Blackers showed some good touches.

PROs:

- Waite's game on Jonathan Brown would have taught him a bit about how to play as a forward

PROS:

Bower - can play. Will be a very very good HBF/WING for us next year and beyond.
Russell - getting better.
Kennedy - ditto.
Gibbs - will be a star.
6 more floggings to Kreuzer and ciao Den Den.

CONS:

Walker's kicking lets him down far too often. Thought he'd improved in that area but not so sure.
Just where do you play Waite ? He's too slack to be a defender, and too patchy up forward.
Having to stomach the pittiful excuse for an AFL player that is our SUGAR.

Pros,
-Gibbs in the middle at last.
-Kennedy around the ground did OK
-Bower show some good signs
-We didn't get smashed by 20 goals!

Cons,
-Kennedy being used in the ruck, Are we trying to kill this kid
-We got smashed by 19 goal.
-Lack of clean disposal under pressure.
-Ackland
-The fact that after 4 decades of supporting the blues i dont want to watch another game this year. Especially if pagan is involved.

Pros - all discussion of tanking is purely academic

Con - We have to risk some of the youngsters for the next 6 weeks - pray for no injuries

walker is a turn over merchant..in the true sense of the word.. kinda frustrating but you have many honeymooners here that are blinded by his love so we can not say too much. great competitor and player but turns it over far too much week in week out...

I must say I didn't notice him looking scared today, which isnt to say that I missed it....but I did notice him putting his body on the line a few times, once in particular as thrid man up. definitely needs confidence. Once has finds the balance between attack and defence he'll be a handy player.

Pros Blackwell showed he can play at senior level.
Bentick tried hard.
Kennedy was better.
Houlihan looked a class above most...
Russell....at least looked interested...

Cons...I guess I am going to disagree with most.
Bower looked lost IMHO...got the footy, ran straight into trouble more times than not.
Gibbs looked slow and missed some easy goals..maybe is injured so he gets an out this time but I wasnt overly taken with his game.
Ackland is just useless and was easily brushed aside by the more robust Charman.
Thornton got slaughtered by Brennan who is a lazy show pony but Thornton couldnt be bothered....
Tackling was disgraceful......players were brushed aside like thye were fresh air and our manning up was just as pathetic...no spirit at all and leadership was missing.

Pro's:
a) I don't have Foxtel because of work commitments
b) Surely, Pagan's coffin has not only had its' last nails but has been cemented six feet under the ground.
c) 1 week closer to the PP 8)
d) Kruezer at the club in 2008

Cons:
a) If we trade our 2nd pick, will our trading past come back to haunt us?
b) As far as I know, Pagan is still the coach.

Sadly, if this is Bowers best game - and this is the only positive you can come up with... this is not good enough.

Paul Bower gained the majority of his possessions on or near the goal square, unmarked. If you want to draw a positive, there are plenty more than this. Walker, although gaining most of his possies uncontested was a good goto guy. O'Hailpin tried his guts out, as did Scotland, Simmo and Fisher. This said, I don't know how or why you would only mention Bower...

Pro's:-
Bower, Gibbs & Kennedy had good games.

Cons:-
Ackland is still shit..........Why is he playing? Hampson, Jacobs, McLaren.....ANYBODY would play better than him.

Pagan.

PAGAN

PAGAN

Same old, same old style of play. Why are we so keen to kick long to the wing and consistantly go wide? Is hasn't worked in 3 years..............what the @#$%&! do we think it's gonna work now?

ahhhhhhhhhhhh screw it, i could go on and on and on...........ain't worth it. I'm just gonna be writting the same shit last week!

Pros:
-Gibbs in the middle showed some good signs
-Bower showed something
-Hoping as the players are I'm sure that this 100 plus belting will somehow force the hand of Swann and Pratt re: Pagan. If not then I say to the players same lack of effort next week will ensure 200 pt loss so there is still hope.

Cons:
-Hackland. For the love of God he is a disgrace to himself and to the club. Those who recruited him come forward and admit to it and drop this useless excuse for a player for good. Bring in a youngster...how much worse can it get???? Pleeez.
-Those who are knocking Waite's effort on Brown. Well boys my willy could have kicked 10 today the way the ball came in to Brisbane's forward 50. No pressure. No nothing.
-The fact that Pagan and Co. will remain for yet another week and be paid for it.

No Pro's.................

The way i see it, the fact that Gibbs, Bower, Kennedy are our best is an absolute disgrace.

Zero leadership, zero mentoring.

These kids should be enjoying some of there footy.

Poor bugga's.......................

If you think the PP is going to turn this thing around GIVE UP NOW..............

Two players, what pick 1 and 4 if we are luck do not make a side!

This club is a shadow of its former self.
