yes, he did - but he was spot on...if Scotland is named captain...it's a very sad day in the history of our football club and we would have reached a new low...

Anyone else find it more than a little strange that it's less then 24 hours till we play, and the captaincy still has not been officially announced?
Yes .. see my post above (I think the page before, also in the pre-match discussion)

May still be Simmo .. if they haven't announced it by now, that's the view I'd be taking, anyway

Ratten was just interviewed on SEN (12.15pm) and was asked who was captain today.

There is no captain, they're making it up as they go along.

From the Carlton site

http://carltonfc.com.au/Season2007/News ... wsId=46610

Last week it was decided a rotating captain policy would be implemented until Club Captain Lance Whitnall returns to the side. Jarrad Waite was elected to lead the team in Perth last Saturday and should Lance Whitnall not play in round 15 another member of the leadership group will be elected to captain Carlton in Sydney. Both Jarrad and Kade will not be considered as part of the rotation of the role until Whitnall returns.

Simpson tossed the coin today.

Another gutsy performance by Simpson. Guess the rotation stopped with him.
