If we tank... or just not win an other game for the season :? as is being spruiks by the pro-PP people watch that membership number crash very abruptly. Then there will be one less good news story for the Blues...

This loser's post in particular makes me laugh

Quote:
Thats crap. We have more.
Pratt must of bought 3,000 memberships for those Blue maggots. Crap club needs a billionaire to fix it because they cant run it properly themselves. What a bunch of losers. I wonder how they feel about their failure, and the fact that everyone sees them as a club who gets on their knees with their mouths open just so they can fix and forget about the biggest f%$k up in AFL history.

He can say what he wants, but the FACTS are that even during our 'crap years', we've still managed to beat them more often then they've beaten us...After the countless times we've made total fools out of them in recent history, it must really burn Bombers fans deep inside to know that Essendon* WILL ALWAYS BE OUR B*TCHES!!!

Even in our darkest years, we at least rejoiced the winning of two preseason cups. Bombers got jack shit. I don't care how valueless people may think they are. Facts are, they are one of only two premierships played for every year in the AFL. "Dean Walllis with the ball, 50 metres out, tries to take on Fraser Brown........Oh what a tackle, ball spills, picked up by Murphy who passes it to Brett ratten. The Blues have got this one, they have orchestrated one of the most unbelievable wins in finals history........etc etc"

Mainly by the misguided few who believe we have currently have a playing list that can take us to the top 4.

This is clearly not the case. The glass might be half full for the cream cheese and spinach bagel brigade - but a good dose of reality wouldn't hurt them either.

When are you going to take other's opinion's into account. 2nd Effort put up a terrific post and all you can talk about is St.Kilda using the system.

I think the figures for Essendon* are wrong, they have over 36,000 members.

AFL figures only count "Game Day" memberships ie those that get you into the ground.

Essendon*'s website may have been including other types of membership - such as their equivalent of our $60 "Blue" membership.

36348 is the total on the Essendon* website, but like someone else said, it probably includes junior members that are not included in the overall tally. Anyways, its great that we are doing well in some areas, when we start winning we will pack the MCG ourselves!

Okay strange that they don't have more considering they've had a good year. They were leading the Victorian charge towards 40,000 only a few years ago.

This is brilliant news. The hardest thing though now is to retain them.

As for the reason for the rapid improvement, there was only one reason:

Mr Pratt...........

Sorry Popeye my mistake.

Pass me half a dozen Form Fours my friend - I will pop over to WA and sign up Chris Judd and Matthew Pavlich.

You hang around Melbourne and see whether you can sign up Nick Reiwoldt and Nick Del Santo.

We will hang on the other 2 Form Fours in case - Gary Ablett Jr and Jonathon Brown become available.
