Sorry, but if Fev is signed up by the Blues and then they trade him he goes to whoever we do a deal with.

wrong

the player has to sign-off on the deal as well.

often they do because of the pressure placed on them

but Fev or any player can refuse a trade if they wish. If he refused to be traded, they'd have to either arrange another trade or he could walk for nothing if the's OOC.

There are a lot of contracts to be completed and as someone said there is a lot of sorting out who will stay and who will go at seasons end. At the moemnt it is messy and it is best to take the appropriate amount of time to sort it out.

The club has a new policy re contracts and it revolves around things like team orientated performance and indivivual performance. Each player is ranked according to this measure, it was one of the reasons the B&F was restructed.

What we do know is that the day of the big contract is gone as is the longterm contract. We aslo know that the club will not stand for any 'over the top' claims by any player and that player will find themselves on the outer very quickly. In short its 'heres the deal if you do not like it Bye.'

That said Fev is very loyal toward Dennis and I have no doubt he will stay as will Campo ( on a reduced contract)

yep, Fev is a franchise player for us, and should be for life.

He can either become a Carlton legend, or another Scott Cummings.

If he re-signs we cant trade him because you cant trade a player in the first year of a new contract.

People need to stop fretting about the filth snapping Fev up with their no.1 pick in the PSD. By season's end that pick will belong to us as the filth will have well and truly overtaken us on the ladder by that stage.

Yeah so what, I am a pessimistic, depressing bastard who doesn't have any hope in his beloved side!!!

I should start another thread. Who will we pick up with our no.1 pick in the PSD?

Fev will stay ( heres one thing I agree with Synbad on)

I wonder how many times Fev has to be set up by the Footy show before he realises he is being used as a stooge by Eddie to make Carlton look foolish, much the same as he use Barb a couple of years ago.

is that brownless guy related to the one on SEN who was part of a panel that asked fev the same question a few days ago?

come to think of it, they must be two totally unrelated twats cos IIRC fev made his intentions quite clear to the SEN crew.

If he doesn't re-sign (Deano  ) and his contract expires he can nominate for the PSD and we have no hold on him. If he signs up he can't be traded in the first year.

So Bluemark, anyone Synbad whoever else has inside info.

Are the negotiations going on, or waiting till the end of the season ?

I cannot believe the club is waiting, what for he is very important to the club, we cannot afford anything backfiring.

I am losing confidence in the whole matter.

It's very important to which club?

Not the one that'll play finals in 4 - 7 years time. They need to have built an entire team and not use the current model of a few names( whits Fev Campo) matched up with a few stars( Kouta, Stevens Waite) and a few young un's who might or mightn't Walker AB Carrots EDDIE etc.

Built from the bottom and reach for the stars!!

What his manager Paul Connors said today ... though they carry as much credibility as a John Howard election promise:

``There are two certain factors.
`One is that Brendan Fevola wants to play at the Carlton Football Club next season.
``And the second is that the Carlton Football Club have indicated to Brendan that he is definitely a required player.''

wednesday morning:- fev is asked some questions re his contract negotiations on SEN by a bunch of guys who are not trying to score cheap rating points ... what was the outcome?

fev: "i wanna stay at carlton and they've indicated i'm a required player". this was accepted by the panel, but, surprise surprise was hardly reported upon by the media!

thursday night:- fev gets asked the SAME questions, but this time the agenda is vastly different (despite the common denominator named brownless). so fev digs himself into a hole and guess what? suddenly the media is reporting that the relationship is tense and that fev will probably be leaving carlton!

pah-leeze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fevola required for 2006: Pagan
http://carltonfc.com.au/default.asp?pg= ... eid=205700

Pagan is officially a legend:

Quote:
Carlton coach Denis Pagan has declined to buy into speculation surrounding the future of key full-forward Brendan Fevola remaining at the club in 2006.

Pagan said Fevola, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is definitely a required player for the club next year.

"I tell you what happens. The bootstudder does the bootstudding, the doctors do the doctoring and the coaches do the coaching," Pagan said before Carlton's training session at Optus Oval on Friday.

"Our here we don't talk about contracts and I've got no comment to make and I don't even know what the situation is.

"We certainly want him. I can tell you that much."

When pressed further on the situation, Pagan said: "You're not listening to what I'm telling you, coaches don't do that, they haven't got calculators - CEO's do."

Fev wants to stay at Carlton , he has told the club that.
I think the club is assessing their list.
Fev WILL be part of it... it will happen pretty soon from what ive been told.
I really would like the club to hurry up and sign him and knock that one on the head.
I dont want to see a Hamill situation arise.. where the club was going to make an anti Allison statement with Hamill and by seasons end the whole thing got out of control and went belly up.
Fev will stay because he is our one and only REAL star...and the face of the club.
