Nice work BB.....think the trade scenario's with Fev may need some work but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Gia is a Bulldog poster boy and the Dogs fans would tear the place down if he got traded.....and they need him for the Peter Jackson suit adds anyway....Fev in a suit wouldnt look right.

Richmond – Delidio & Pick 1 or 2, Melbourne – Sylvia or McLean & Pick 2 or 3, Brisbane – Charman/Big Berger & Pick 5 or 6, Port Adelaide – Salopeck & a traded Pick 6 or below, Bulldogs – Gianseracusa or Hahn or Higgins & a traded Pick 6 or below, Sydney – Malcevski or O’Keefe & a traded Pick 6 or below and West Coast – Hurn & a traded Pick 6 or below or straight swap for Juddy. Any of these will complement our likely picks this year. If we fail to win another game then we could end up with 1, 3, 4, 17, 33 and a seasoned Mid or Defender. If we do win a game or two our first pick will be Pick 2 or 3. Either way we have to be a stronger squad with the early selections plus the experienced player. Hopefully some of our current kids will take the next step as well and create more competition for spots.

Great post BB (and thanks for the info) however I think you may be a little optimistic about what we'd receive for Fev.

Great work BB. Love the sound of pretty much everything there, although I'm not sure about some of the trade scenarios you mentioned. I feel that some are expecting too much (there's no way WC will swap Judd for Fev without more incentive), and others too little (I think we could do better than Hahn or Higgins).

Excellent work though.

interesting read BB. how much of it is based on good information and how much on pure speculation? the trade scenario's seem a little too good to be true. were these purely your thoughts, or based on some inside thoughts? nice to think that there are some behind the scenes moves starting to happen.

Thanks guys for all your kind thoughts. Some new info on the Coaching front. I got told tonight that the crew at PP are having bets on who will be the next coach. Apparently someone has framed a market and there is only 4 names on it. Not sure about the odds though. I thought it was interesting. No Senior Coaches amongst them. This is what I got told in order of favouritism:

Voss

Ratts

McKenna

Longmire

Also some comments on the forums that clubs wouldn't trade a star midfielder for Fev. Simple one this. Most clubs have a midfield rotation of 10 players or more and plenty of reserves. How many clubs have got a gun Full Forward?

If Fev is prepared to move Interstate, I know of one club that will move heaven and earth to secure him on a 3 year deal. In fact they are supposedly offering a midfielder, a defender and a low draft pick. BTW the 2 players are both Victorians. Amazing interest created by Swannie. We could just about own trade week and the drafts following. 8)

Very interesting. No surprises on the candidates, although personally I'm surprised Rats is being considered ahead of McKenna.

True, and in many cases I would agree. But I think Judd's the exception. Even with the strong midfield the Eagles have, Judd is so vital to their setup that it would take more than Fev for them to send him over.

That might be a little closer. I was surprised when Port came up as an option, as I didn't think they were in a position to load up for a GF tilt - which would be the only reason you'd bring Fev into your team. But then I suppose Port would be thinking that the Burgoynes, the Cornes, Fev, Ebert and Lade are enough to seriously compete. They could be right. Imagine if we got Boak as a part of that deal... did anyone see hm on the weekend? He'll be fantastic.

Just getting back to Judd for a second, what most people keep forgetting is a scenario of him wanting to leave the Eagles - if he says he wants to be traded and Fev is the best option for the Eagles they would rather lose him for something then get a crap player etc etc

Crows, Lions and Port dont seem interested if you read todays Herald Sun.....I think amore likely scenerio is the Gary Lyon one where he has Fev going for a first and second rnd pick probably from West Coast.
I also think West Coast may offer up a ex Vic kid like Rosa.

I think its fanciful to think that clubs will trade their A grade youth like Salopek, Boak for Fev.....

rule no.1:

If you really, really want to buy something but you want to keep the price down, act like you really don't want to buy it.

I wouldn't put a lot of faith in public utterances of non-interest in Fev.
