Scotland's omission was a certainty as he has done jack all the past month. Really needs to re-focus on his footy and get his head around other various issues.

In comes Livo to help strengthen the backline.

Think that Clarke will get one last roll of the dice to notch up 100.

If French fails to come up...in comes Prenda.

GO BLUES

Great to see Livo back in. My understanding is that by being named in teh starting 18 he "must" play. Go get 'em Luke!

I know team lists don't really mean much these days, but I still find it an interesting line up at CHB, FB and BP.

If Barney doesn't come up, won't Bryan be the inclusion?

Oh yeah, I've also been a bit disappointed with Scotland. :( He still looks composed when carrying the ball I think, just not in disposal.

I would of thought being a romantic and all that DP might have selected Jordan for his first game in his home state. Would of allowed his family to come down and support Jordy and the Blues.

From what I can gather, Russell is a very jumpy sensitive character, a bit like Dr Smith on Lost in Space, and the slightest bit of contact will DEEPLY EMOTIONALLY SCAR HIM!!!!!

Either that, or Denis reads some of the hyperbolic crap on this site.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan is being "protected" a bit like Waite in 2002.

Livo is a huge inclusion. The knock-on effect he has to team balance is enormous.
Thornton gets out to CHB where he belongs, Whitnall to CHF where he belongs, Waite is no longer the lone target on the HF line.

I tipped us this week purely as Livingston has come in.

I dunno.

It's just a theory, and it didn't seem to hurt young Jarrad. I'm not saying it's right, but I can see benefits in giving Russell a full year to develop so as expectations won't be too high for him when he does make his debut. Like you, I'd love to see him get a run this year, and I hope he does, but he'll be around for a while so no need to get too uptight if he doesn't debut until 2006 I don't reckon.

I'ld say it's Pagan's "common sense" curfew in action

Interesting to see Clarke on the bench. Perhaps Wiggo still has not recovered from the severe concussion he got last week?

He's probably on the bench because he's a small chance not to play on the weekend.

Hanoi Jane works with a bloke who used to be on the Brisbane rookie list, and knows Teague and Walker etc (Murray kids).... she told me the inside word on this!

...... but it was pretty much just what we've read/heard before

I can't see Barnaby playing - Bryan to come in...Teague will play apparently...Clarke in side to run with Skipworth is the inside word.

Josh Fraser would be a good case in point.

Josh Fraser played in his first season, but you can't pull out 1 example ans use it for the rule.

How about Judd?

Prendergast will not/must not play. He was dropped last week but didnt play bcos of no Bullants game. He needs to touch the footy and it can only be with them.

Even if French plays, I believe Bryan should as well. He's shown enough to deserve it - far more than Prendergast.

Please, not Clarke. I just can't fathom the logic in the decision to play him. He is great with the Ants - but will never make it in the big time. He must go.

Why oh why is Russell overlooked? Yes he's skinny, yes he's inexperienced. BUT HE GETS THE F&%$#ING BALL AND DISPOSES OF IT TO A TEAM MATE - EVERY TIME.

He is the same size Walker was last year. C'mon Denis, what's the go?

Your faith in some of these players is admirable, but it is starting to cloud your judgement on the future of this team. We need to find out if the Bryans, Russells and Blackwells can cut it - not recycling the types of Clarke!!
