Why can this club support a coach for all these years who has been the worst performing coach in our history and we can't keep supporting the Fev. Answer me that one. He deserves a much fairer go than Pagan believe me . Pagan has given us nothing but heartache. At least Fev has given some memorable highs in a time of very few highs. In fact most if not all of those recent highs have revolved around the Fev.
Don't take out our poor recruiting choices and our poor choices of coaches and our poor management all out on the Fev. To me thats just not fair. We need to get behind him when he needs support and this is such a time.
Dom...you're preaching to the converted when you talk about getting rid of Pagan, and questioning our recruiting and player development. The sooner Pagan is gone the better, AFAIC, and a thorough review by Swann and Icke of the recruiting and player development departments is required.
However, the argument with Fev remains, irrespective of all that. Maybe it is all because he has been in a bad place off field. But I would counter that argument with two points...
1. He has behaved like this ever since he was a teenager, hence the reluctance by many clubs to draft him. He has behaved poorly regardless of what has happened off-field.
2. Who is responsible for him being in a bad place off-field? Who was it that chose to have an affair and ruin his relationship? Who was it who chose to get plastered in Ireland and put a bloke in a headlock? He has brought this off-field bad place upon himself. He quite simply seems incapable of taking responsibility for himself, and behaving like a mature adult, let alone a leader.
