We've had those kind of results with Fevola for the past 5 years. So it's a moot point.

Mentioned in another thread anyone hear the Grant Thomas comments on fev in the morning pretty much predicted what would occur at 11.30am and also spoke very much like he was someone assessing fevs next 9 weeks

only reason i thought of that was that the Voss Team is rumoured to be Lambert and Thomas and Thomas spoke very much like he was saying the club needed to disciplne Fev and that he would need to show that he still wanted to be a Blue seems to be very similar to how the Press conference and what swan did with the one week suspension and for Fev to work out what he wanted to do

Exactly. Other than 2004, we have won about 3 or 4 games a year since 2002.

Looking at the future can be like building castles in the air, we are looking at how the time and space ahead of us is to be filled..

Now, if we do trade Fevola, it will hurt for a while, because we have all grown so used to having him as a kind of marquee player for a number of years now.

But rest assured that we do get a quality midfielder in return (not sure whether picks are involved with the deal - they could well be) and we do quite rapidly become used to not having Fev around.

I have mentioned that I did see a player called Power in the future Carlton team, streaming in and goalling from a flank - but I have thought that this was actually Paul Bower.

However, if Fevola is traded to Brisbane, this could of course change - in a totally unexpected way..Lets wait and see...

In a relatively short space of time we start to appreciate our new look Carlton - especially when we sense that we finally have a new team and a new structure which begins to result in significantly more victories than we have been used to over the past 5 years.

In Carlton's terms, the new team that we will have is really only a shadow of the former sides that we have seen win flags in the past, but when we reflect of the depths to which we have sunk, a paler imitation of a great Carlton side is a far more preferable proposition. far far better than what we have now.

The future season in which we find ourselves is one where a club doesnt need to have the kind of dominant team of line to line champoins that Carlton used to have in order to win a flag - the big wheel of the draft has seen to it that this will be so...

Funny Sheahan never bags Pagan. I am sure they are mates.
Pagan is probably the "Sneaky Leaker"

IIRC Tony De Bolfo is working as Pratt's 'eyes and ears'. That would be the same Tony De Bolfo who was an ex journo for the Herald Sun. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the thick of this action.

Now, getting back to Sheehan .....

Healy on Foxtel said Fev wont have the currency based on his present form and reputation and that other clubs wont be doing us any favours and giving up first rnd draft picks on mass.....those days are over.

And Sheahan strongly disagreed.

Think about it, a guy who kicked 83 goals for a wooden spoon team one year ago. Any club that thinks it is a realistic chance of a flag in the next 4 years would love him.

Lets see what happens next week. This is an issue we (the supporters) can not control. We have to trust the new leadership to come up with the right decision in the best interest of the club. Things might turn all right one way or the other, i.e. either Fev pulls himself together or we get good trade. I think its time to take a deep breath.

Personally I can not wait for this season to end and a new one to start with some of the outstanding issues in regard to players and coaches resolved.

heaps of kids wear the no#25 on their back.. he has been on the footy show etc etc...oh ya he is definitely a first round pick if not two...whichever club he goes to he will top their goalscoring..
if no reasonable trade copmes forward he stays on the carlton list and can go on the psd the year later and clubs like the bulldogs would have missed their golden chance of snaring a top goal scorer..

oh ya he has currency

You don't get it do you?

Jarusa posted those stats on how we've gone without Fevola. He doesn't really make a difference. If anything, it's made us too predictable.

All depends on how close 'those' clubs are to a premiership. If they truely believe that they're 1 or 2 years away they'll do anything. It's the holy grail.
