Embarrassment. At least it was interstate and we didn't have to rock up to see it. There is something rotten about all this.

PROS

Not much to say really. Our clearances in first quarter with murph bent and carraz were great. Hartlett had a dip, simmo go a few touches. I can;t find much else

CONS

1. Gibbs on Farmer - FREE GIBBS. I'm gonna get greenpeace onto Pagan. Playing on small, agile aboriginal players every week ain;t gonna teach him anything. Pagan is killing him. That mark in Q3 was special though - love you gibba.

2. Setanta playing everywhere - to me he shows heaps. But he plays back forward, ruck. He's learning - give him 1 possie.

3. Gameplan!!!!!!! - we don't have 1. Bomb long! When we got clearances, we didnt know what to do with em. They get a clearance, they systematically pass to leads and move the ball in fifty.

4. Lack of run - we are slow and chase arse all day.

5. Waite - was at his crappy-effort best when it mattered. Half tackles, half-spoils. Junk time goals don't count.

Special mentions - heath, lappin, saddington, bannister, houla everyone, whatever.

This is rotten - the coach must go. No young draftees are improving. The moves are terrible.

Nevertheless, losing the next 9 would be good for the club.

Murph, Gibbs, Carrotts, Setanta, Simmo all continue to be in the plus column for me.

Agree with you caz that they are positives and good players for the club, but regarding today's game:

Gibbs - I love him and he showed some class today. But if you looked at it objectively his man destroyed him. He shouldn't have been on that man. Pagan made that shocking move, and has done it before - ENOUGH!

Setanta - I think he can be a real player. But he has entered the game late and must learn to own a position. Master pagan has got him playing everywhere every week. Stabilise it - let him learn.

The other you mention were all ok. where was murph in Q2 though?

Re: Gibbs - The commentators said it would be a good learning curve for him. He has also said he loves the challenges.

Re: Setanta - If he is one of the few showing any guts or glory, I'd probably throw him round the ground too. 8)

Re: Murph - no idea, maybe looking for some leadership?

Unfortunatly his trade value wont be what it was at the end of last year, perhaps we have missed the boat.

You have no idea how long I've been reading that sentence trying to work out what you're saying.

Is it:

FEV is cloning everyone ? (Good, do 22 Judds).

FEV is coming everywhere ? (Jon Dorotich, where are you??)

FEV is conning everyone ? (what would that mean??)

FEV is boning everyone ? (not again!!!)

FEV is caning everyone ? (I wish........)

PLOYZE EXPLAYN!!!!!!

Pros

Hartlett showed a bit and should be left in the seniors for the rest of the year. Murphy was good. Kouta can still get the footy and at least put in. Simmo was pretty good. Young tried but went missing after a good start. Waite at least kept presenting - 12 months ago he might have left the field with nothing at the end of the game. Gibbs - for trying despite being played hopelessly out of position.

Cons

The entire effort. Defence is terrible. Bentick tries but doesn't get it enough to hurt and is too slow. Thornton, Ackland, Saddington, Bannister, Fevola, Lappin, Fisher, Scotland and many others had poor games.

Its time to punt and play Edwards (if he gets a kick tomorrow), Blackwell (and leave him on the ground), Benjamin and maybe Bower. More to the point, Carlton cannot continue to "give" senior games to average or underperforming senior players.

Pros:
Hartlett(which means he will get dropped next week of course)
Gibbs(too good to be kept out of the play and playing a defensive role you imbecile Pagan)
Carrazo - I often wonder how many touches this guy would get if we had a ruckman

Cons:
Unbelievably undisciplined and lazy. Who is to blame?? For me it has to be the coach and his staff. They are unable to get the best out of our players. If Dick Pratt and Gregg Swann are serious men Pagan and his coaching staff must go...now before next week.

Players who refuse to do the hard yards and 1%'s. These players need to be dropped. And if they do not do these things in the two's they should be delisted or traded. No exceptions. No favorites. The club should only be about players who are willing to bleed for it, otherwise OUT. Ackland is the worst excuse for a footballer I have ever laid my eyes on.

Fevola's worst game for the CFC. I was embaressed by his performance today. He should be ashamed of himself. He is undisciplined, a sook, & always looks for frees. Betts is the same. Disgraceful. Why do we persist with players of the caliber of Houlihan is beyond me. He offers nothing to the team. And he has many mates out there as well.

We are carrying too many passengers. We can no longer afford this to go on any more. And the guy driving these passengers is Pagan. Major changes must be made and very quickly. The second half of the season is gonna be ugly.

Feeling ashamed to be supporting a group of players and Coaches who refuse to perform at an acceptable level for their club. Who refuse to earn the big dollars they are on. Who have no pride whatsoever in the jumper they wear. They do not deserve the support that Carlton supporters have given them this year.

There are so many other cons...too many to mention.

PRO:

23 point better margin than our last match.

CON:

Farmer walked off the ground uninjured.

Oh yes it will. I just hope he's NEVER given the captaincy of this club whilst he has so many character flaws.

The guy is a freak. He just needs to be put in an environment where he won't have as many excuses to get the sulks and display his immaturity and selfishness. You can control this part of his character but never eradicate it.

Con: It looked like Hartlett was favouring a leg as he was joggiing around the boundary late in the game. Did anyone else notice this?
