There wasn't a ground we couldn't get to on public transport in those days.

Would think nothing of getting up at 6.30am on a Saturday Morning and take 2 buses and a tram to get to Princes Park before the gates opened.

Or taking the old Green Tramways "Chunder Bus" - "Garden City via Port Melbourne" from Bulleen and getting off cnr of at Johnston St and making my way to the Yarra Falls end at Victoria Park.

Fremantle vs. Carlton at Subiaco 2001 Round 1

We won by 1 point! What a ripper it was too I remember we came back in the 3rd but it was really close in the end pretty sure SOS and Kouta kicked a few between them in the last 1/4 to get us home...

Also remember the talkback radio and Dockers fans complaining about Manton taking out Hasleby (thus nullifying his influence) ah I think we need a bit more mongrel :-D

1974 vs Coll at VFL Park (as it was known then). Rermember starring at our FF line: Trevor Keogh, Craig Davis and John Nicholls. We won that day.

First game i recall was Carlton Vs Footscray.. Round 7 1993.... may have gone before then tho thats the first 1 i remember....

we lost by 36pts :(

Other 2 games i went to for the year was against the Brisbane Bears in about Round 11 and we won by 40 odd points... and then the last game of the year when we beat the lowly cellar dwellar Swans (who won just 1 game that year!) and beat them by 1pt! I think Rohan welsh kicked the winning point..

haha... yeh thats my childhood memories of footy games...

First game was Carlton v Geelong at Princes Park in 1980. I think it was Round 1 or 2. We got up by 5 points.

Me too.

Was it at the Exhibition Grounds? I thought it was at the 'gabba. I was pretty young.

My main memories from the game are:

Getting my first Blues scarf (still have it)
The Dominator kicking me in the stomach as he leapt over the fence at the end of the game
Telling the Tigers fans after the match that we won when it mattered.

Great Day.

Go Blues!

Carlton v Geelong circa 1964. I went to Geelong with a busload of boarders from St Pat's Ballarat. We used to go there once or twice a year if somebody donated tickets to the Christian Brothers, which they sometimes did. We almost always went to Geelong because it was closer to Ballarat, I suppose. I had already seen North play a couple of times against Geelong including one time when Alan Killigrew let us into the rooms before the game and at half time.
Anyway, back to the game. It was a close affair all day and close to full time the scores were level. One of our backmen rushed a behind and the siren went a bout five seconds later. We lost by that one point. I was devastated of course as a youngster just starting out on the Carlton path.
The next time I saw them was the '68 GF which of course we won. :-D

I can't remember mine either as Dad used to take me when I was young. It would have been around 82/83 though
