Yes the spruiker strikes again...

If you can access it, check out the back page of the Sports Age (Sporting Life with Geoff Maclure) for the Blueseum's first reference in the Age.

Further to last week's Carlton v Hawthorn crowd record at Telstra Dome, the Blueseum put together this page:

http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-index. ... %20Records

which was picked up by the Age (with a little bit of prodding) to point out Carlton's great attendance records over the years. The one missing is the huge crowd of 7,500 that watched a match for premiership points in Euroa!

No, that is it.

Collingwood have records at a couple of interstate venues which tips them just one ahead of Carlton in terms of record crowds at venues across Australia.

I was sure that over the years we had records at SCG and Subi but they have probably since fallen.

Did you check the WACA?

The record figures for Princes Park, Punt Road, Lakeside or Glenferrie are impregnable, considering they are no longer used for major competition.

Kardinia Park seems incapable of holding more than 23000 these days and the capacity of the 'G is about 98K so that's safe too.

63000 at PP!! Can you imagine it? Does anyone else remember the huge hill in the NW corner before the Harris stand was built? I reckon 15-20000 could have stood there.

What about the end of season games that were played at The Oval in London?

Do we hold the record for that as well?

According to this link we can add Athens, Singapore and Yokahama Stadium in Japan as well!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_rules_football_exhibition_matches

Might be a long shot but do we hold the record for Marrara in Darwin as well?

More records for the Mighty Blues!

The one that counts though, is the only team to win 16 Grand Finals. ;)
