Reading that, it seems to be a "one round" appointment at this stage.

I think the reason for that is that Whitnall's length of absence has yet to be determined.

Thanks for that molsey. Good luck to the Panther, hope he has one of his good days! Would have been a tough gig finding anyone after the Hawk Horror movie the other night.

Good for Waitey, I'm looking forward to seeing how he responds to this level of responsibility.

It's good to see the club (and the leadership group) looking to the middle age players to fill the leadership void. It is time for guys like Waite Fish Simmo etc to take that next step in that department.

Hopefully he gets to captain up to round 22

Good luck to waitey, but i dont think its the right decision. Waitey has only started to play well, not consistent enough, shouldve be fev or scotty i rekon but good luck to him.

os·ten·si·ble [o-sten-suh-buhl] Pronunciation Key
adj. Represented or appearing as such; ostensive: His ostensible purpose was charity, but his real goal was popularity.

[French, from Medieval Latin ostēnsibilis, from Latin ostēnsus, past participle of ostendere, to show : ob-, ob- + tendere, to stretch; see ten- in Indo-European roots.]

Hope this helps Tommi...

Both i dare say were denied because of off field incidents

Am rapt to see waite get the gig and lets hope he can further growing with the extra responsibility and continue to lead by example.

I'm sure Vin is looking from upstairs and smiling down proud at his boy

Denis apparently said on some radio station that the captaincy will be rotated and that simmo, FEV and scotland will get a go.

Denis will probably move Waite from CHF to CHB Then from CHB to CHF.
He will probably also have a spell on the pine

It should have gone to Fevola. He is our only A grade player and as such deserves the position, but alas what better way for Fev. to stick it up the feeble coaching committee than to kick a bag of goals.

That would make them think again.

yeah, was also reported on channel 7 news four man rotational system Waite, Simpson, Scotland and Fev . Will this mean that they would be the front runners for the full time captiancy?

Stevens is a shoe in for captain next year, if his recovery goes according to plan.

I would make Stevens captain next season. Then again we don't know what the situation is with Lance.
There will definately be big changes to our football department next season. Coaching and Captaincy.

I reckon Tex would have been a selected in place for Simmo if he wasn't injured.
