(state) Carlo Carli, Lily D'Ambrosio, Madden, Pakula (ALP); Martin Dixon, Michael O'Brien, Jan Kronberg, Ken Smith, Donna Petrovich (Libs); and Peter Crisp, Hall, Jeanette Powell (Nats), and (federal) Rod Kemp, Fran Bailey, Petro Georgiou, Phil Barresi, Tony Smith (Libs); Maria Vamvakinou (ALP); and Peter McGauran (Nats).

United they stand — the Spring Street Blues
Quote:
Tentatively titled "Spring Street Blues", the idea is the brainchild of Martin Pakula, the member for Western Metropolitan Region and the Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, who approached the club with a plan whereby politicians, both state and federal, all of whom support Carlton, could throw their weight behind the club as it battles to become an AFL force again. "We see our Blues as a young team with fantastic potential and with people like (president) Dick Pratt and (chief executive) Greg Swann on board, we'd like to think Carlton is going places, so we just want to offer our support," said Pakula as he and the other Blues-loving state pollies ignored their political differences for their first group meeting at Parliament House yesterday. "We're still discussing how we will do that, maybe by interconnecting with Lygon Street traders but really, whichever ways the club thinks appropriate.

Good stuff. 8)

I love his answer to the last question:

Quote:
Who do you despise more? Collingwood or Essendon*?

At the moment Essendon*, because there’s been an arrogance about them that has really shat me off. Collingwood has probably suffered enough. They’re to be pitied rather than despised.

Miachael Voss has stated that as a 12yr old was at the 1987 Grand Final between Carlton and Hawthorn cheering on his beloved Blues. Described it as a great experience. Was a mad Carlton supporter. Feelings like that do not subside 100%.

Trish Stratus-apparently visited the club in 2005 or something when she was on tour with the WWE, she said sh was a mad fan of the Blue Jays baseball team and she was very interested in the Carlton Blues, i dont think she was impressed at training because for some strange reason the guys were distracted by something and couldn't get the drills right.

At the end evryone lined up to give her kicking lessons.

She played in the All-Star's game so I guess Daisy Pearce counts as a celebrity?

Thank God she got Arlo all decked out in navy blue after Talon looked like being an Eagles supporter.
