Neither.

Crosisca should coach Carlton.

I'd go Bucks before Voss.....like the way the guy goes about it. He may play for the filth, but the guy is all quality and nothing but respect.

I have no idea. :?

I'll wait to hear what Gerard Healy says about this on Fox.

All I know is that Pagan is as good as gone, and I do not want Pagan involved in the trade at the end of the season; that's all.

Yeah, I tnink it would be good to have Ratts in as a caretaker coach in the interim; for the remainder of the year.

That's actually a really good idea.

Hell, even that flower Mark Harvey wouldn't be a bad choice.

Voss will demand respect from the club and the players.

He won’t accept piss poor efforts like the game on Friday night, and blame swore knees or lack of training. He would make every player on the field earn there position.

I would give Voss the job, and somehow hire Malcolm Blight to make him a part time assistant coach to mentor Voss...

Michael Voss would be my choice purely on the fact that he would demand enormous respect from the troops plus he knows the modern game and what it takes to take a team to the top of the mountain. Let's not forget that Voss was a coach on the field when the Lions were tearing the competition apart.
People might see this as a risk but what have we got to lose since we've invested about $4 million in Denis Pagan since the end of 2002 for crap output. I have no doubt that even Wayne Brittain would've achieved better results in the last 5 years and saved about $3 mill.
I have been a supporter of Denis in the past but it seems to me now that the game has gone past him big time.

To be honest I'm liking the idea of Guy McKenna more and more after thinking about it.

The guy has served a long apprenticeship under one of the elite coaches in the league, and is a guy who understands what it means to be accountable and would no doubt make the tough decisions.

I now change my vote for head-coach

In fairness to Ross Lyon though, he was just as, if not more highly, credentialled, but hasn't really had much of an opportunity to show us what he can do. The players keep dropping like flies and the administration is a @#$%&! joke. Not exactly the best place to be as a rookie head coach.

Other then Voss, yes Guy McKenna would be one I would have on my shopping list as well.

My preferences would be:

1. Voss
2. McKenna
3. Ratten
4. Longmire

Why not look at someone who knows the game backwards, understands what the club will demand of him,and understand the Carlton way of doing things. How about a bloke named Ken Sheldon? Worth thinking about?

Sheldon .. no way!!!

The frontrunner is Voss.
But things can change.
I wouldnt mind N Buckley
And whoever it is... you must surround him with the best infrustructure of coaches possible.

Why Buckley with no coaching experience and no Premiership experience over Michael Voss?.....that does intrigue me......he doesn't even know what it takes to be a part of a Flag Side/Club.

I think that Voss would be preferable over Ratten.

Heres another possibility - Justin Leppitsch was mentioned on SEN as a possible candidate as senior Carlton coach.

Assistant coach as Brisbane since October 2006.

Anyone know what he is like - Excellent playing credentials, and good enough obviously to Leigh Matthews to make him an assistant.

Synbad , Nathan Buckley will coach Collingwood sooner rather than later.

The last thing the club needs is a coach doing his apprenticeship at Carlton then give us the flick to coach elsewhere,

Id go with voss . Prefer Buckley but collingwood will have him sewn up.

Assistants Ratts, Crossisca and Whitnal. Walls or even Pagan keeping an eye on them (nothing to do with tactics just more to do with making sure they have the whole job under control).

Still can't comprehend the fascination with Buckley with no Premiership experience to call on......every AFL Club declared VOSS the most inspirational leader......much like Barassi who had no Coaching experience but had played in multi Premiership teams as Captain.
