I mentioned Sporn because the original purpose of this topic was to highlight younger players that have RECENTLY left us that we wish could've been better, or got another chance. Sporn was one of those guys I had endless hope for, and was sad when we had to delist him.

He only would have ended up being the Mark Bolton of the CFC

I miss you too blu944, but don't worry your DVD player is in safe hands (at least I think so, did pawn it a while back).

On a more serious note, Karl Norman is a bloke who we could really use right now if he had his head screwed on right - I can remember a game he played on Tarrant when I decided he could be one of the answers in defence

There's only one Rod Galt. People often say Riewoldt is the modern day Galt. Grant Thomas would ring Galty when he broke down in the 70's.

Mick Martyn. Now there was a player for Carlton. I miss him at Fullback and another famous player, Peter McKenna at Full Forward.

This thread has turned into "Name your all time Carltonline up". Anyway, Jim Plunkett, though he wasn't tall or slow, Darren Hulme (ditto), Stephen Kenna (can't remember much but he had a whacky running style) and Justin Davies. Angwin and Norman would have been useful.
