Pros: ...............(crickets chirping)

Cons: too many to mention

I just hope if Icke is in charge of list management, that a nice size broom is taken through the playing list - I hope he likes to make tough decisions cause that is what is going to be required to get the personnel we need via trading and the draft.

As for the coach and coaching staff, if they were starting to feel more comfortable, guess what? the blow torch is back on after that pathetic performance.

Pros: Pagan's inevitable sacking is back on the agenda

Cons: We are the most unaccountable and lazy team I have ever seen play football. Those not prepared to play hard close and chase week in week out must be dropped immediately. Our ruck problems are major our pressure in the forward line when the ball hits the ground is non existant and our backline lacks pace and lacks spirit and totally lacks defensive ability and knowhow.

Pros:
The line in the sand is set. We have been comprehensively routed by the top 3 teams on the ladder. All the others we have beaten or had a chance to beat. We still have a long way to go, but we know were we are in the bigger scheme of things.

Cons:
The realisation that Lance was born 20 years too late, and the game is too fast for him now.
The insipidness and lack of accountability of Houla.

Pros:
- Our forwards, I thought they were good given the amount of opportunity they had.

Cons:
- Whitnall - If the ball was a big Mac, he would have gone harder at it. This guy is a slow fat pig. How can a full time sportman be so fat and unfit when your main job duty is to get fit?
- Houlihan - he is a tiny erectile dysfuntionaled penis, he is useless!!
- A lot of our players are too weak, a little push and they lose possession of the ball.

PROS: Record membership 35,000 mark is great!
Record Crowd
Carrazzo, Murphy good... Walks ok, Gibbs is gunna be something, Fev looked dangerous... only positives...
1st quarter ok then fkn woeful after that!

CONS: Saddington
Whitnall
Ackland
Backline
Our attack at the ball was pathetic, playing bullshit stupid reactive footy, waiting for something to happen! Just like we've gotten ahead of ourselves before, we did again, the players probly read the stories and were so rapt that u know what.... Once again, if thats the case, how immature!? When are these players gunna grow up?? It was pathetic and insipid and theres no @#$%&! urgency watsoever on the ground! Went to the game and left before 3 quarter time... Carlton supporters dont except mediocrity and that goes for me too!

And my brother SparkyBlue left also, he's one who always stays to the end but when ur a capable young group and u put up that effort... We've showed we can kick a winning score when getting it down the forward line efficently, no efficiency at all lat night...

Our problems our our pathetic disposal, decision making... Acklands a flower joke, where the @#$%&! is this blokes heart! 3 year deal?? Pagan ur a desperate pathetic wanker for that!

Whitnall in the backline again! FFS!!! Get the @#$%&! message, he cant play key position in the backline!! His only chance at modern footy atm, may be deep in te forward line, but i think Lance will continue to struggle..

The improvement had come from the players not Pagan... maybe a couple years ago we literally werent good enough, but we've shown were capable, but continue to show glimpses of ineptitude along the way which shouldnt be happing at all anymore....

FFS, all players: were all flower bimbos who think theyre top shit and yet again, got ahead of themselves once again... Either stand, be mature, take the next step, dont except shit from yourselves, or dont be a part of Carlton!

Does anyone have an answer to their teenage like maturity when they receive some good publicity?? Well, we still have Pagan, and the question marks still remain....

Go out and get the best Pratty!!

Pros
- We still had 9 goalkickers, unfortunately we only kicked 12 goals
- thought we came out early in the 3rd and really had a crack, problem was it was only for 5mins

Cons
- leadership is a real issue, not just the captain but other 'senior' players
- as I have stated previously, there a few players not up to standard (i.e they wouldn't get a game in a top 4-6 side). Some have been mentioned, there are a couple more that need the mircoscope put on them.
- playing Lance in defence. Hawthorn players looked for Roughead at every opportunity in the first quarter (probably under instruction to hit up Lance's man) and he was 15m ahead on every lead.
- the Ackland issue needs to be addressed post haste

Pro's....reality check.

Cons...Bad weakness in the ruck
Lack genuine leg speed
Several of our players dont take the shortest route to the football.
Coach unable to learn from previous meetings with same teams...eg..how many times does Mitchell have to carve us up before we get a decent matchup and restrict him...

Only one? There are a few more games to go which we could probably win (I think Gavro was alluding to the Aints game in R17) but there should be a couple of others which we should do well in ...

The HS ran this article online today, suggesting that

CARLTON

Temptation. Fast-paced show. Hard to win. With Dick Pratt in the Gift Shop.
Gold Logie: Andrew Carrazzo is thriving after being being an extra on the Geelong film lot but Andrew Walker is the surprise winner for outstanding contribution to the midfield.
Candidate for boning: Fallen idol David Teague would want to make every post a winner when he returns from a wrist injury in a fortnight.
Best New Talent: Fresh-faced Bryce Gibbs is all class and doesn't waste possessions.
We'd love to poach mid-year: Veteran Docker Shane Parker can't get a game but could settle and educate the leaky Blues defence.
Jessica Rowe much-maligned award: ``Big Red'' Lance Whitnall has returned to playing decent footy after quitting his off-field soap drama.
Potential for ratings glory: No cigar this year, but a big chance soon.
After the positive press from Friday. I wonder, like when a famous person dies, if they had this ready to run after our next pasting?

im a fan of JR and had to bite my lip a few times during the 'Russell Bagging' stages and avoided posting any comments.

i remember a play in particular (im not entirely sure on players involved, i have the game on tape but im not putting myself through that to get some facts right) where a hawks player broke from a clearance on the wing and had open space right into the forward line. 2 players chased, possibly bentik and walks, but neither had the leg speed to catch him, russell had to run from the other wing to put any pressure on him and overtook his teammates in doing so. with his pace, which showed he was the only one capable of chasing hard and actually gaining on a breaking opponent he was still playing a defensive type role on bateman. shouldnt we have had him playing more on a wing where he could run his heart out and try to create play?? its a con on pagans behalf for not playing him in a similar role to the port game which was by far his best game for us.

murphs steal from crawf on the flank was sensational.

gibbs always goes for the safe options, they say you need to take risks to win games but some of the risks our players take aren't even classified as risks they are simply suicidal, i wish more players took a leaf out of gibbs book.

i also dont think it is fair to blame the defenders, the amount of times the ball went into the forward line any defenders would have struggled.
