In not wanting any other Victorian club to win the flag until we do. I mean the bragging rights would be massive, wouldn't they?.

I don't really care who wins the flag as long as it's not Collingwood or Essendon* but I would like a Vic team in the Grand Final. Grand Final week hasn't had the same buzz for the last 3 years.

Really. I hadn't noticed. The last couple, in particular, have rasied a bit of interest I thought. ;)

Maybe it's just a Melbourne thing but from 99-03 the build up seemed much bigger down here.

The penny drops.

Maybe, if there's no interest in Melbourne, the GF should be moved away from the G then. Sounds ike nobody in Melbourne would care.

Until the blues are playing I couldnt give a toss!! I 'd actually prefer an interstate side to win it than see the filth, the scum or the aints win it. There's no home town pride for me in seeing Lloyd or Buckley holding up the cup !!!

I wouldn't mind some of the traditional strugglers to get a win - Geelong, Bulldogs, Melbourne...

But I'd love it for us to be the next 'big' Vic side to win one.

I think the AFL and MCC members would care.

Agreed. I'd have no problem seeing someone like the Cats or the Doggies get up. But I'd rather tolerate an all-Adelaide or all-Perth GF than seeing either the filth or the scum competing.

Let's say it's a Crows v Eagles GF ... there's close to 100,000 club members that would care as well. :P

I enjoyed watching collingwood lose two GF's against brissy. Reminded me of the gory days of the seventies and early eighties.

Don't mind if scum and filth play in the next twenty gf's so long as they don't play in the same one and don't win one.

I've been openly supporting interstate teams in GF's in Carlton's absence for many years now. I barely know any interstate supporters so them winning a flag hardly affects me. I recall passionately supporting Brisbane in the GF's against Essendon* and Collingwood. I've said for the last few years that we will be the next Victorian team to win a flag and i wholeheartedly believe that.

Our crappy years have come at the best possible time (if thats at all possible). We wouldnt have won a flag in 2001,02 or 03 because Brisbane were untouchable while West Coast have been and will be the force for the next 2 years or so. Once they have their run, we will be ready to pounce in 2009-10!!!
