walking into the ground at 5.30 from Spencer St Station Bridge there was 2 people buying at the Membership tent..thats at least 2 gone from the 25 needed...surely 23 people would have done likewise..haha

I posted this in the membership tally thread - don't hit me mods, but not many people seem to take note of the sticky posts as they do with others.

I'm flashing this and then the mods can merge with the sticky if they like.

I have it on very good authority that Sir Richard will announce on Friday night that we have set a new membership record for the Carlton Football Club.

Call me cynical but I reckon the record would have been passed before the Port Adelaide game. But that was a saturday night game on Foxtel.

This week however, we have a FTA friday night game with an audience 10 times bigger. Much better exposure for good news like this.

Somehow I reckon there may have been some 'problems' in the admin department and the memberships were not being counted as quickly. :wink:

I think its smart to announce this Friday night. Big TV audience and bumper crowd on hand to hear the news.

Great work, I think keeping form like the past 2 weeks into the remainder of season will see us push 40K.
