i dont think Saddington was all that bad at all...i just think that Westoff played a blinder...personal opinion, but i think he did ok.

Pros:
The Blue Wiggle...simply superb
Walker- B.O.G..he REEKED of Koutofides
Carrots- god he racks up the pill doesnt he!
Bannister- gave Cornes a rightout bath
Pagan- The man lets a group of young kids go out and play a natural game of free flowing footy...that fadeout isnt his doing, the lads were stuffed, when the siren went i saw at least 8 guys fall ot their knees with fatigue.

Cons: i dropped my sandwich and i had some relly good scotch fillet steak in it...that and the chick playing in the Little league who wouldnt pass it if she got within 35m of goal (yeh our little league has a Scott Lucas) yep thats all i can complain about...tonight was AWESOME.

GO BLUES!

No doubt. We have always wondered what he would be like if he had the brains to go with his talent. Need not wonder anymore.

it pains me to try and find a 'con' but Jordy Russell's foot skills let him down i thought...he made several forward bursts and kicked long into 50 looking like a star, but on 3 or 4 occasions he either kicked to the wrong option or missed the target, i did like his game but i wouldnt have him in the best.

As opposed to most weeks in the past 4 years when every player on every occasion kicked to the wrong option or missed the target.

Winners are grinners, but we've still a long way to go.

Pro's - I've done my penance and can actually go to the hawks game on friday

Con's - I had to watch tonight's game on the box.

Pros:-

- EASILLY JR's best game for us tonight. It was a mirror image of the game he played last week (in the bullants). Top Stuff.

- Setanta is AWSOME!

- Gibbs tackle on Tredrea........BRILLIANT!

- Walker is special isn't he! Still think he's been our best so far this year!

- back-to-back wins for the first time in a while.

- I just bought season 4 of Scrubs on DVD........................NICE!

Cons:-

- Why leave Gibbs down back for so long. He was playing on a 2nd gamer for god sake!

- last qtr fade-out.........................were we tired or something?

Put him 4quarters of footy 22 weeks this year in the middle he'll break down, he's 18. His body cant cope with playing sustained periods in the middle...keep him down back to learn a bit with stints up forward and in the guts...cant just feed him in the wolves.

I didn't think we played particularly well and we still smashed them.

Simpson getting stuck into Brogan at quarter time.

The Waite factor. His 5 minute flashes are defining moments in games. If he could play 4 quarters he would be Kouta 2000-esque.

Carrazzo is becoming one of the dominant midfielders in the comp.

Setanta & the enthusiasm he brings. I suspect Bentick had to go off straight after Carlos's first goal because the big fella gave him a too vigorous high-five and nearly fractured his arm.

I love watching us play. Win or lose, you have to say our playing style is good for footy.

CONS

The turnovers. This is a pretty understandable aspect of the way we play, but if we can start minimising these turnovers the sky will be the limit.

And what's more, he was doing a bloody brilliant job on Ebert...

Pros
Russell
Wiggins
Walker
Carrazzo
Bannister(I hate Chad Cornes)
Waite(early)
Our field kicking and decision making was much better tonight. we were cleaner than Port and that was the difference. having a piss at 3 quarter and I thought its been 6 years since we had a game in hand by 3 quarter time.
Cons
Fevola his judgement was off tonight
Ruckman Got beaten here. Carlos jumps too early. Ackland ok but we need to change things here.

Last quarter fadeouts. We run out of legs and Whitnall doesnt help the situation with his [REDACTED] knee. We are playing 21 players and need an extra runner who can give us some legs in the last quarter.

Who's played a few more than 2 games.

I watched Gibbs at the start of the 4th quarter, just to see the way he moved and read the play ahead of him (these are the things you can do when you're 10 goals up and not worried about the result).

The best I did see was a piece of play where Ebert led out on the flank, maybe 75-80m out, then doubled back and ran back towards the goal square where the ball was going. He did most of this 3-5m ahead of Gibbs, which suggests that while Gibbs isn't express speed he at least wasn't getting blown away.

What happened next was that Ebert wasn't going to make the contest and so stopped about 15m out (which is fine for a forward to do). Gibbs ran straight past him and to the oncoming pack. His courage wasn't really put to the test as the marking contest was over before he got there, but the way he was focused on that contest rather than his direct opponant showed me that not only was he focused on helping out his teammates at the next contest, rather than taking the selfish approach of minding his own man, if needed he would have put his body on the line and jumped into that contest.

Couldn't agree more about not feeding him to the wolves in the midfield. We saw what happened to Murphy earlier in the season. Even he is now playing more in the forward line to ease the burden.

Pros

Entertaining Footy. We kicked 21 Goals in the 95 GF and have kicked similar scores in the last three weeks. Its good to watch!

Walker in the middle. It is where he plays his best footy. Fast strong and hard to match up on. Kicking improved out of sight.

The press and others talk about the young guns of Collingwood and others who are getting the protection of their mid-late 20s brigade but I reckon Carlton's youngsters are making it all themselves. There is a great core of 18-20 year olds (murphy gibbs etc.) and these players are being protected by the 20-23 year olds (Carrots Simmo etc.) Good times start now!

Cons
Fadeout was a bit ordinary but were we resting people? I noticed that Murphy and Lance spent much of the last quater on the bench. Saving them for next week?

PROS - I think Walkers improved kicking deserves special mention - he has obviously worked hard on it. I think just about all of his kicks last night were effective.

CONS - Fox Footy commentators spent more time talking about how bad Port were then how good we were

Pro: Gibb's tackle on Treadway from behind to earn a free for holding the ball.

Con: The teenage chic barracking for Carlton sitting behind me (in the Medallion Club no less) yelling out all night "Kick the @#$%&! thing"

Our workrate and tackling was so strong for 3 qtrs that we simply ran out of legs. Good thing was that we had such a buffer that it did not matter this time...
