1. Wiggo. Awesome. He straightened us up so much. Hard at the footy, never stops going 110%. Love him.
2. Walks. Awesome. So much run from the backline. Coming on in leaps and bounds. For a natural right footer he sure runs to his left side a lot though.
3. Forward setup. Whoever has organised it (and it's hard to see what exactly is happening with blocks etc from TV) they should get a medal.
4. Carlos. Going well. Very well.
5. Ackland. Went well again. Three pretty good dips in a row.
6. Banno. Smashed that ugly bastard Cornes. All. Over. The. Park.
7. Being able to enjoy the last 40 minutes of the game knowing we had it in the bag. Going back 6 years was the last time I felt that.
8. Almost forgot - FLYING THE FLAG. How good is it to see this blokes stand up for each other if one of the sniping scum try for a cheapy. 3 or 4 times again tonight. @#$%&! the next 2 years are going to be good.

-

1. Fadeout sucked ass
2. I thought Saddo sucked ass and got smacked around by a 3rd gamer tonight.
3. Scum won last night.

Pulled up next to John Elliot's car on King's way on the way home. Put the scarf in the window and he gave the thumbs up.

PROS

1. Walker - will be elite.

2. Carrazo and Fisher's kicking - as far as miracles go, this improvement ranks up there with Moses splitting the sea.

3. Thornton - quiet achiever but has had 2 really good games in the last 2 weeks

4. Waite - did the 1%ers and the spectacular together for once.

5. First solid win in many a year - when was the last time we never looked like losing for the full 2 hours.

Special mentions - Bentick's tackling, Russel slightly improved, many goals without fev, bannister deserves a mention.

Hard to mention a lot of individual pros

CONS

1. Ruck - Santy did ok but overall we're crying out for better ruckwork. How many goals did they kick from D50 stoppages!

2. Bombs away - we look so much better on the lead. Forward line didn;t present well in 2nd half either

3. Speed - we do look a bit slow on the chase sometimes and might get shown up against quicker teams.

4. Free the gibba - I;m nitpicking now, but would've liked to see him come onto a wing in the last quarter when we had the game. He was getting cold in the goalsquare

5. I'll nitpick with some individuals for the 5th con - houla got too cute in the last quarter, simmo must kick better on his right foot (and left).

Overall a great prformance. Go blues

Pros:
Straight kicking
Best 4 qtr effort (despite the last) in a long time
Self-belief
Jordan (Banno & JR, JR's best game for the club as even though he made some errors he really backed himself and showed something)
Setanta looking like he could be an answer in the ruck
WIGGOOOOOOOOOOOO

Cons:
Not even gonna bother, can't keep this smile off my face. Maybe the last qtr fadeout, and the Fev's clear injury worries

Forgot to mention ... JR was fantastic tonight. Run through the lines, vision and really looked like a player. And Gibbs tackle on Tredrea was awesome. Definitely raised the moist factor in my pants ...

How amazing were Russells explosive blasts through the center/wing tonight. I didn't realise he had so much pace.

Wiggens (despit a couple of poor decisions) played an amzing game. His pace and hands are sensational. If he can match them with his disposal/decision making, he will be a star.

Carrazzo is unreal.

Pros:
-Bannister: For the second week, shut down the oppositions best player. Great job on sooky Cornes - this was one of the keys to winning the game and 2 goals as well.
-Walker: You star. You belong in the midfield. Tore PA a new one
-Chief Wiggins: Presented all night and took some strong grabs, and played one of his best games for the club. Second week in a row with a good performance.
-Russell: Loved the way he attacked on every occassion. Is playing with more confidence, a few stray kicks, but done more than enough to keep his spot.
-Carazzo: The new Ratten. Ball magnet and tough in the clinches. Another excellent performance and will begin to shorten for the brownlow.
-Another big score kicked and Fev only kicked 2 goals. Good spread of goal kickers
-Waite: Getting that consistency together which is good to see. Is proving a nightmare matchup to opposition clubs.
-First time we've won 2 in a row since 2004

Cons:
-We will NOT get the PP this year  :garthp:
-Last qtr fadeout's (we've won only 1 from 11 this year)

Not to be smart, but just as a general question...I'd be interested to know how Jarusa rated JR's game tonight...or maybe to put it better, did tonight's game change your opinion on his future at Carlton?

The positives were plentiful. To single any of the players out wouldn't be doing justice to the others. I actually thought it was a pretty even performance across the board tonight, which is great to see.

The pressure, disposal under pressure, there were smothers, hard tackling, standing up for ourselves and our teammates and stuff it, I am going to single someone out. How was Kade Simpson taking to to Dean Brogan :-D The MMM guys reckon Kade landed one on his chin which is a concern, but to be honest it was worth a week to see that kind of attitude.

Putting together 8-9 goal quarters is exciting stuff. Sure we're getting plenty kicked at the other end, but thats always going to happen when you're playing this brand of football. Opposition sides playing us over the next few weeks are going to work it out and come up with a counter plan. Pagan's future must surely rest on our coaching staff's ability to adjust to any counter.

Jordan Russell - Didn't look soft or out of his depth tonight. You won't see Egan play like that I can guarantee it.

Pro - Gibbs - smashed ebert

Cons - They still kicked over 100 points

Don't worry about Saddos game - he was on a bloke who was a foot taller than him - he was beaten in the air but I thought his around the ground was Ok and he stuck at it all night.

pros-
people I can't think straight yet, its all a FANTASTIC blur, by gosh, I don't wish to make any of you feel old, but I wasn't around in the glory days and I cannot remember the last time we won like this (I was to little to really enjoy it :( ). I went to most matches last year (bar interstate ones) last year, and people asked me why i bothered if I knew we would lose, but I had to see those shockers to really appreciate our effort tonight.

moving on....

- Fevs tackle sometime in the 3rd? 2nd? can't remember. If this guy is having problems in front of goal we can still rely on him to put pressure on the opposition and let the other forwards crumb. It was nice to see him further up the ground ealier as well

- #34 wiggo... :-D

- Houla, he's often chastised for not getting emotional enough. I personally think we have no way to judge this because who knows whats goin gon between his ears but for god sake tonight we saw it and he was bloody everywhere and fist-pumping, smiling and celebrating.

- Murph, woot woot!!! He should've got that second goal in the first :( pity it was picked up

- Banno, two good matches in a row, whowouldathunkit??

- Waitey and Fish, their goal kicking demons are fading and we have ourselves QUALITY forwards with athleticism and sticky fingers

- T-Bird, Scotto, saved us down back

- Tex, tore it up carna walks!

etc etc, i really can't think straight

Cons-
hmmm not much here, the goals we conceded towards the end weren't preferable and we could have won by a bigger margin but give our guys a break we played FOUR QUARTERS without falling behind :-D :-D

I was petrified his face would split in two after his first goal.
That celebration was more insane than last week!

PRO - Team Football by Carlton

CON - Whilst excited by the win, can't help to think Port have really hit the skids (is that their 4th loss in a row?) and maybe a little gloss off our victory. Too bad i suppose you can only beat what's out on the park & we owe them!

ps next week aginst the Hawks is the one we need to bring home......flower arrogant cheats.

Pros:
Carazzo amazing player
Walker awesome. I wonder whether Winnie Blues can give us his stats regarding clangers. Pretty sure it was 0
Waite great fast half
Russell has great dash and good kick
Benticks work in close in the first half was great
Wiggins and Bannister followed up their good games with another good performance

Cons:
Screaming out for a ruckman. Ackland is a cabbage
Would prefer to see Kennedy given an opportunity up forward then Whitnall. We need to be playing for the future and Whitnall isnt part of that
