There were a couple of times during the game that I could swear it was actually Fraser Brown marking Eagleton. Not just the similar look, but the attakc on the footy. I like the look of him, but let's not get too carried away just yet.

Donstuie,

I thought the same.

He goes in like a wild dog.

"Hunter" and "Herder"...you can't get away from him.

He is a great find and a great kid.

Cazzeman, tell him that we love him when you see him at the fridge.

so do we know an update on how long JA will be out?

the carlton website says 3 weeks, but i thought if anyone knew the severity of it, whether 3 is accurate, or whether he'll be off the paddock for over a month or back in 2 etc..

Nic

I guess three weeks means after the break.

That's a bit of a given anyway, you don't wntr to come back early after a hammy...so the break falls in at the prefect spot if it's a minor strain

Results of scan show only a strain. Should be back for round 13. Fingers crossed.

Regards Cazzesman

Hey Noonamah.

Can you tell the rest of the punters on TC about the attributes of Joey?

Best coming from the horses mouth

Well I did see a few of Joe's games for Darwin Buffalos including the Grand Final where he completely blanketed Heath Culpitt who had been a dominant mid-fielder for St Marys all season.

From my humble observations of Joe, what I admired most was his never say die attitude , the refusal to be beaten by his opponent and that he worked hard all game. I also don't recall him ever losing his cool. He also appears to have good awareness and reads the game well.

I was delighted that Carlton selected him in the draft and if he doesn't make it in the AFL it won't be for lack of trying.

I totally agree with the comments made by my NT colleague, Noonamah Blue (where the hell is Noonamah?)

Joey has a lot of fans in the NTBlue household. It is great to see him doing so well so soon.

I reckon you can clearly see these traits continuing into his AFL career to date. I've mentioned before I love his workrate for the team and yeah, I agree about him being not losing his cool. He looks a pretty laconic sort of character as far as the rough and tumble goes. He'll do whatever it takes to win the ball/stop his opponent, but he doesn't appear to get flustered if he cops a few bruises along the way.

Good news Cazz. Fortunately, we've got a slit round holiday after our matches against Port and Hawthorn.

So he should only miss 2 weeks, and be available for our next match against Freo over at Subi in 4 weeks' time.

My favourite sort of holiday!!

Joe Anderson being compared to "Dogga Brown". Shit ! that makes me deliriously happy coz its been a long time since we had a guy with a bit of drop punt in them.If he turns out half as good as the Dog then i will be wrapt.I actually think he is a cross between Brown and Dessie English.Mongrel with a tad of control...........apart from all that,Joe has that thing ya cant teach, and that is how to find the aggott.Even in modern day football the natural ball winner is a priceless commoditie.
