Carlos got pissed when Ackland caught him with an elbow. They wrestled, fell to the ground, with Ackland on top, complete with hand in face-throat. A few good jumper punches were thrown in for good measure. They were laughing and slapping backs afterwards. Good stuff, really. And should be portrayed as such. There is bigger fish to fry tomorrow.

There didn't seem a lot of laughing from Setanta's direction and Axeman's laugh looked more like a nervous reaction from my point of view. Carlos was quite prepared to pursue the matter until one of the coaches told him to cool it.

There were quite a few solid tackling incidents earlier in the training session as well - not between the big boys but Blackwell, Russell and Benchy were very physical in some of their tackling.

Who cares about the soccer mums? Good aggression and intensity at training, and the maturity to be able to bury the hatchet - what's not to like about that? I don't think Pagan would have minded at all.

I was at training a year or two back when Santy tackled Wiggo hard and buried him in the ground. Wiggo and he had a donnybrook on the ground. Santy takes his training seriously, which is ok by me.

No worries. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't about a Chick.

Still, WCE are top of the ladder and Cousins is AWOL still.

No,

Ackland is given the one last chance....

Aisake is promoted and plays in Mel..next week giving his folks time to fly out for Adel at the TD.

And just to ensure he stays in....ask Ackland to to give him a shove in the changerooms b4 the Adelaide game to "fire himself up" a la Blake last year....that should ensure Ackland is placed on the LTI

That's going to be a little difficult when Setanta doesn't drink alcohol.

Hahahaha!

GOOD!

God i love that big irish bastard....he's bringing the 'toughness' and 'aggression' back.....not only to Carlton, but to the entire game of AFL itself.

Such a soft game these days with too many show pony pretty boys content to just rack up possesions and sigh!

Not my man Carlos........if he kicks a goal, well - you best get out of the way to avoid a cracked skull mid-fist-pump!

It might teach Ackland a lesson too. Admitedly, Ackland has stepped up in the past few weeks, but he has a long way to go to prove himself worthy of a 3 year contract!
Setanta, for mine, has matched him in the Ruck this year.

The BALLS & AGRO are coming back to the club boys! And the other 15 clubs are taking notice! :-D

I couldn't agree more. Reports indicate he didn't like get a whack in a ruck duel with Ackland. It's quite obvious that Carlos hates losing, and it means he is bringing the competetion onto the training track. That will translate onto the field.

Our next generation of leaders are beginning to assert themselves.

He and Walker are our enforcers.

Go Blues.
