Aisake - Demanding the starting ruck role, needs it at this level to continue his development & you'd have to think he'd be seeing a lot of the seniors next year at this rate.

Hampson - No qualms with him playing forward so long as he is given license to push up the ground, and that would seem to be the case (you see more games than me though RR). He works on his marking and general play while GD refines his pretty solid tap work along with his contesting. Next year he takes the feature role in the Bullants.

Aisake is making great progress but Hammer is going backwards IMO.

The way he looked in preseason, I though Hammer would be in the seniors by now - he was jumping over everyone and marking everything in reach. Now he's getting consistently beaten in the ruck and is dropping sitters. His confidence seems to be shot and he isn't getting it back playing on the forward line where he looks badly out of position.

Relax RR, he's a kid. I wouldn't worry about his form for at least another 2 years. The big guys take forever to develop. Espectially one that only started playing footy a few years ago. Hampo shouldn't be considered for seniors until 2009.

I think he is falling victim to the pecking order a bit too, but you're comparing work on the track to work in-game.

He is very much a project player, but in the end it was hard for the club to overlook his immense physical abilities, or so it would seem.

Maybe Ackland will get injured so we can elevate Aisake and this will become a moot point. Maybe he's carrying a bit of an injury, he's certainly run hard and pushed himself very hard in marking contests.

Back to your time at the Bullants, Is the game plan very different between what you experience in the reserves and what you experience in the seniors, and if so is it difficult to make the transition?

Good question – I don’t think it’s the game plan but it’s the skill level of the players involved. Down at the Bullants, the skills probably aren’t as good, so Barry’s been on at us to keep possession a bit longer and hold the play up a little, to make sure we don’t cough it up. But at Carlton – with the power forwards we’ve got – you’ve got to get it in quick to give them the best chance.

there ya have it

I think you'll find that Jarusa's post is tongue-in-cheek as Mike is Molsey, Mishgee (and is Jarusa Dan?) ;-)

...and cheeky, I make up a very small part of the multi national multi media enterprise that is Mike & Dan.

The question quoted above I think is the only question I have contributed all year.

Given your post Dannyboy, you are Dan? Hopefully not knowing that won't revoke my rocket science degree ;-)

Dan doesn't really live on any of the forums.

He has too much to do in the real world : )

For those that are seriously interested, about 8 people make up 'Mike & Dan' in 2007, with about 3/4 of them having some character representation on this site.

And this.....:
