Looks to be more of a strained hammy rather than a tear. Scans tomorrow. A few weeks at best. Fingers Crossed

I was really impressed with Joey today.

He looked comfortable and composed.

Lets hope that Joey can recover quickly and push back into the team soon.

I think we found a solid defender today,

Good news Cazz. Fortunately, we've got a slit round holiday after our matches against Port and Hawthorn.

So he should only miss 2 weeks, and be available for our next match against Freo over at Subi in 4 weeks' time.

Looks very exciting -got lost a couple of times on the eagle but has steadily improved in most games - really keen for him to be back from injury and get plenty of game time in 2007

Did Waitey smash himself in the closing minute against a goal post?

Yeah i saw that too, I think it was his hand, not sure how bad. Lets hope we hear nothing about it and he plays next week.

I like this player, what i've seen so far,he looks like he will be a succesful player,i know i had the same thing for Livingston and Sporn in their first year, but after a few injuries they both seem to suffer poor form,i don't see that with Anderson, plays like his older then he is and more willing to back himself even if he is afraid to hurt himself.

Full credit to the coaching staff who left him on Eagleton all day - hence the foray into the middle. A couple of times he found himself ball watching and realised that he had to be accountable to one of the Dogs dangerous quicks...I thought his efforts were superb all day for such a young man - looks the goods.

If you happen to bump into him around the traps can you say I really admire his heart and how he alwyas has a fair dinkum red hot go at the footy. His one perecenters are first rate and it won't be long before he really starts to blossom.

Yep

When the ball came to ground today he never let the ball out..or he won it.

Great sign...he will be a cult figure...in my books

Played against me last year in Darwin and won Darwin's B and F. Is super tough. Will be good. Pity about the Hammy.

Will be a very solid player for the blues.

He will be way better than Sporn and Livo, Ando has a look of determination in his eye that those two couldn't produce.

Not to mention he is fearless, and tough. He just has the X factor about him.

As his name was read out, I felt that Joe Anderson would be a special player for Carlton. I am sorry about the injury, but I no doubt he will be back for more games this season - and he will have a super 2008...
