I haven't even checked them - hope my sig isn't wrong!

On the surface comment, the dome is alot harder on the players then the G' - recovery for them is much better after playing on the G'

Brings about the hypothetical question though.

Would you rather a deal where we're getting completely dudded financially, or a deal where we're on a decent wicket in terms of the moolah, but just can't play there if our life depended on it?

No contest.

Win games and the $$$$ will follow.

But don't we have to lose enough games before we're good enough to win games?

But at the same time, if we're getting the finances in from a deal that's akin to Collingwood's at the G, we could financially survive a couple of crap years before we adapt to playing at shit ground. Surely we couldn't be shit at the Dome forever.

Admittedly it's been 8 seasons since the first game there, and we're still yet to get it right..

Three wins this year - all at MCG.

How much are we rueing the decision by Ian Collins et al to go to The Dome?

How many wins has this cost us over the last few years?

More to do with the team's development than the venue m'thinks !

the real issue .... conflict of interest perceived or otherwise, has never been satisfactorily addressed IMHO :?

Sorry but some of you make me laugh.

Seriously, I guess your all going to be jumping on the "should never have left" Princes Park issue shortly as well, or is that too soon?
I here that Geelong are looking at hosting Melbourne teams struggling with their "interstate / lowly drawn match receipts" access to Kardinia Park! They say there are good dollars to be made! :P

Hopefully just like his predecesors Pratt won't be putting things to vote either, but maybe this time do what is right for CFC.

Ps. Still waiting for the "free to air" / "additional sponser" that TD was going to bring with our move. But I suppose that is all going to happen when we start winning, silly me.

Hmm, so I'm the only one that reckons the surface, in looks at least, is miles ahead at the Dome compared to the scruffy looking MCG. It's almost as if they've swapped the turf from one stadium to the other. The Dome is looking great, the G looks sandy and pretty miserable.

I'm trying to work out how 13 wins, 21 losses = 62%.

I can see the maths that came to that figure, but why compare one to the other like that, instead of against the overall number of games played? According to those stats our overall winning ratio, compared to games payed is:

Dome (38 games) / winning ratio = 21%
MCG (35 games) / winning ratio = 37%

Still a clear win to the G, but at least we're comparing apples with apples now! :P

Oops I was in a rush and for some reason used the 21 losses as the total.

Anyway we're 100% on home games at the G this year.

If you heard Leigh Matthews on SEN this morning with KB he said that the surface was great, but it is not now. The surface is always good in March and April because they re-lay it. Now it is soft on top and the players are slipping around a lot.

The G is the place we should be. Where else would be fit the 100,000 Blues supporters that are going to watch our renaissance?

Cheers for that. Well, if nothing else, they've got the Dome looking good, even if it's not good. One step at a time.

didnt it recently come out that the deal is crap and we are getting only marginally more than what the likes of st.kilda and co are getting at the Dome.

the dome has been a disaster, in every facet, we got [REDACTED] over, and i tell you, you reckon Elliot is to blame for the plight of our club, Collins was behind the biggest disaster the club has ever seen.
