Just reminiscing while i was washing out some baby bottles, glancing over the breakfast bar and watching the collingwood v freo game, as to what has been the most exciting moment, for me, in Carlton's football endeavours over the last 5 years...

i thought long and hard and narrowed it down to two moments that made me believe that CFC still had fight left in the old dog, two moments of sheer heart, courage and grit that reminded me why i love this club.

1: The comeback against Adelaide at AAMI when Fev kicked the winner from the 22nd row of the second tier of the stand. Just a great well fought win, guts, determination and a will to succeed, i was proud as punch that day.

2: the comeback against the bombers from this year. Just the same as the Adelaide game but at a totally different stage of our development, but oddly enough, led again by Fev. a brilliant comeback and hopefully a sign of things to come....

so, any others???

even though our quality of opposition is worthless, our round 1 comeback against Richmond was a great effort.

my favourite would be the Adelaide game where Fevola kicked a goal from The River.

a close second would be our round 22 1point win against Collingwood will stick in the memory forever also...Camporeale kicked an unbelievable running late goal to put us ahead.

There have been a few great wins over Essendon* over the last 5 years :-D

MCG in the rain. Fevs toe poke to Houla who kicks the sealer from the angle. (Then celebrates with the chainsaw)
I still remember the commentary from Denis Commetti -

"After a summer of discontent, it could all end in the rain" :-D

Actually, I quite enjoyed a game we played about 4 years ago where we beat the dogs at PP. Only because I was back in Oz and went to it and saw them win. I have an unhappy knack of going to the footy once a year and watching us get beaten, so any time we win is a bonus...

Also, I did enjoy watching the Wizard Cup final as well against WCE. I hate it when I am in Oz for the pre-season and then miss the entire year but will take any win I am there for. This year I am hoping to see a game in August. Have to be careful!!

Walker's debut.

Waite's running goal in the game after Vin passed away.

On field - THE comeback against the Dons without doubt.

Off field - the return of King Dick, massive day for the club.

Was a bloody good start to the season when you think about it, winning the NAB Cup too. Just need a win at the moment.
