You'll remember that I took steps to inform those with whom I crossed swords of my other names, BV, and subsequently put that info in my sig. You certainly can't accuse me of inconsistency when I point out someone else's. Doing so just gives those reading the thread a bit more information. If it has some significance for them, then that's great. If not, then there's no harm done.

But from my perspective, the information is certainly significant. I'm happy to have a reasonable debate on all matters Pagan, but I don't enjoy anti-intellectual mud-slinging. After all, that was the point of your post, wasn't it?

Now, I'm happy for them to trot out their usual rhetoric here. The tag-team efforts I can do without though. And I'd take it you'd be with me in hopng that they don't resort to the usual bag of tricks, like:

So, tell me, just who is responsible for posts "purely designed to discredit those with an opposing view to yourself"?

Simple question Mav - How long are you prepared to give him ??

ITs been 5 years he is already the longest serving coach at Carlton not to have us playing for a flag . Only one coach in our history other than Pagan has coached over 55 games and not had us playing off for the flag and he had a winning percentage to 59%.

how long has he got in your eyes before you say well Mav you backed the wrong donkey here .

I changed my opinion of him round 1 2003 up until then I thought he was the man

And, by the way, the following plagiarism got both my attention and my goat:

Hatred of Pagan v Overfilled with players at the end or no good?

Who here really thinks any of Beaumont, Manton, Hulme, McKernan, Gallagher etc. had anything else to give or would take us forward?

No one but neither were the players he replaced them with

He got rid of 100+ game over the hill hacks and replace them with 10-30 game recycled hacks

The 100+ game hacks would have been better to teach and guide the 0 gamers that were coming through instead now we lack that mid range leadership

Indie, have you thought of going into the private detective business?

You're great at uncovering all sorts of information.

Unfortunately none of it seems to prove anything.

But don't despair, I have got a case for you.

There's a certain coach who has lost the players. Maybe you can uncover some clues for him on where to find them.

Here are some dark glasses to wear while you're on the job too...

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

It should be easy enough to find the coach who's lost his players. Just look for the coach who has to chat to his assistants at quarter-time breaks because he has no players to speak to. I'm going to watch closely this week.

Hmmm ... it can't be Connolly or Malthouse, because I swear they both had the regulation number of players around the huddles. The search goes on ...

manton did the same to sheeds after he got the flick from the scum...did sheeds get the sack? No, he coached another premiership side(unfortunately) in 2000. Not one of the players Pagan got rid of have gone on to have successful careers at other clubs. That's a pity for those blokes, but that was Denis' job when he came to the club - to rebuild the list. Now we can argue all we like about whether he's done a good job or not, but we must surely all agree that he had to move on some players - and he did.

And as for taking threads from BigFooty....shheeeesshh. I am looking forward to the threads breathlessly announcing that Jonathan Brown and Nick Riewoldt are aiming to get to Carlton in 2008, given that both of these have been on Big Footy in recent days

A large number of people on this site use any infoirmation they can to bag Pagan. I am not saying this is wrong as everyone is within their rights to say what they want. No problem with that.

It is now moving from "Pagan is a shit coach" to "Pagan is a shit bloke".

LMFAO no worries Mav , the one time I rate a post of yours (most people skip them nowadays , that is why you left CSC innit?) and decide to put it in CSC you bag me for it. hahaha but thats fine , its funny if you dont speakabout Pagan you actually make a good post , it seems you lost your way somewhere along the line , so now you're over here spinning the same crap and thats fine , before long you will be laughed out of here as well........

So your point is I came over from CSC and I hate Pagan? And that is your argument? Yet you come on here and spin the same shit and expect people not to challenge your ludicrousy?? Hahha no worries my friend , I think theres a spot on the Bigfooty Forum waiting for ya.

Incidentally , it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside to know that you would spend so much time reading my posts when I just skip past yours , keep up the good work matey. :-D

apart from Davies , Thornton , Russell , Sporn , Campo and pretty much anyone I left out of that 2004 Nab Cup side. As someone mentioned before

Davies - career ended by injury (and heart broken by Pagan)
Thornton - still here (not by choice)
Russell - still here (not by choice)
Sporn - rubbish, why wasn't he picked up by someone else? (will broken)
Campo - rubbish, has done less than bugger all at the bombers. ( but a star for the navy blue)

Pagan might be crap, but this thread has done 7/8's of bugger all to prove it.

Then you are truly blind my friend , you are truly blind.

May seem a bit harsh on Cazzesman , and I apologise Cazzesman , I was out of line with that comment , but whats good for the goose is good for the gander. Anyone who thinks Pagan has the support of the playing group has clearly got their hand on it.

I await the spiteful repercussions tomorrow with great interest. :-D

Actually, cut and paste of others exact words without attribution or indicating it is someone else's work is poor form, and indeed is plagiarism, even if the words are on a net forum.

Copyright does not cease to exist just because it is written on the net.

Not sure I would agree that it is at all apparent that the current group do not support him.

That's different from whether a different coach may get better individual and or team performances from them, or make them happier, or use them in roles more to their preference.

During games the players do appear to be putting in hard, despite obvious issues related to various aspects of their peformances.

I'm not a Pagan fan, but I can appreciate the fact that he works extremely hard and believes what he is doing is right.
