Just as a novel idea, lets get the facts before totally slandering the kid.
JR may well be down at the club doing a weights session totally oblivious to any of this.

Some people need a little foresight. He has speed, he has skill (on both sides), he has size, he can find the footy, he has good vision. PLUS he went 9th in the draft meaning that there were others that also thought he had talent. Give him time and opportunity.

Yet he's playing reserves in the 14th placed side :? .

As long as someone posts both the rumour and the details of its origin (without necessarily naming names) in good faith, then I don't have a problem with that - even if it ends up being untrue.

It's a long bow to draw that Zoneman was posting something he didn't believe to be true. So hopefully the rumour is untrue (and if he was sighted at training then it is either untrue or he changed his mind), but we shouldn't attack Zoneman even if it is.

Reserves? He just played the first 8 games of the season in the seniors. What season are you following? 2004? And for the record, I thought it was a terrible decision dropping him this week. Having him as an extra runner in the team would have been the difference.

Turn it up!

You support the 14th side...like we do...geez Louise!

JR has a lot of talent and will be a good wingman / flanker in the coming years.

Each game he gets better...give the kid some time.

If this turns out to be wrong, I'll be bloody happy. I am obviously a big fan of JR. And even though I'll be pissed at Zoneman for giving me undue anxiety, at least he didn't bag JR like a bunch of the other idiots on this site.

I, for one, hope Jordan stays at the club and continues to develop into a good skillful, running player. When he backed into the pack the otehr week he certainly showed he is becoming more understanding of the courage required to play the game at the elite level. I hope he's back in our 22 very soon!

I will be very suprised if the rumor is true.

JR as stated earlier talked of how he was happy not to have left CFC last year.

It would be a huge turn around to leave now.

ANYWAY- If he has left....I want to know why....you dont leave twice without a reason.

Maybe JR is a complete DORK and gets bullied...maybe he as an IMO/Goth behind closed doors and feels "depressed". Maybe DP is a complete [REDACTED] and keeps playing JR out of position...hence the I'm leaving concept.

Take it easy big fella  .

Surely I'm allowed to critique a player as I see them, and not be blinded by the jumper they wear.

It's an honest assessment for flowers sake. The coaching panel assesses this every week to select a team, and at the end of every season. I hope he plays reserves footy for a few more weeks and HOPEFULLY can prove himself, but as I see it (and I'm allowed an opinion as you are) I don't believe he will be a long term Carlton player.

If I'm an idiot for having an opinion then I'm in the wrong place.

Yeah, but like hair died jet black, black eye-liner, black finger nails etc. It would be hilarious out on the footy field.

Salopek sorta played with the hair thingy early on. Danny Southern was a bogan emo.

Boganemo culture is ruining our youth.

Mum I’m coming home
So take my picture off the wall
Dad I see ya soon
I’m coming home

Since I been away it gets harder every day
Denis says I really got a lot to learn
He loved me at the start
Then he went and broke my heart
So to my home I will return

Dad I hate this tagging
Why won’t he put me on the ball
Mum I’ve spoke to Neil
I’m coming home

I'm not 'slamming' anyone. By your logic, anyone in a Carlton Jumper is a champion and should never be de-listed or traded.

There's 40 odd players on our list and we can't afford to persist for too long with a player who may never make it.

Get real, these things happen and it's no offence to anyone. we'll see who's right at the end of this year or next.

yeah thats exactly what i said right? you implied that russell wasn't not up to snuff because he is playing reserves in a poor side.

So my argument is, what about kennedy two weeks ago? was he trade/delist bait?

it's not like every player is going to turn out, i realise that but the kids need time. And someone has to play in the ressies!

I see Jordan as a player who has all the atributes to become a good player over time, he just needs experience and confidence.

It feels to me as though you have written him off already, half way through season 3. i reckon thats far to early for him.
to me he has shown slow and steady improvement.

as for players leaving the club, i'd have money on teague, bannister and Mclaren not being here in 08. so obviously i dont think every player in a carlton jumper is going to make it.

i'm probably more worried about hartlett than russell, even though i have faith in both, i'm just worried harlo's head his closer to the block than most others.

hope he can play out the season injury free.
