Well we know that you want to get rid of the entire senior list

Well we know that you think that finishing on the bottom is the best thing for the club.

The question I have and I have asked before without an answer is this.

How long do you think we should stay on the bottom before we start back toward the top?

1 year, 2 years 5 years? How long?

I want to know because there are plently of others things I can do on a weekend instead of watching us lose. Don't worry I will still buy my membership.

Yours in Good faith

Mark

PS I note that your model 'club' is struggling a bit, personally I reckon its the coach.

Obviously you can read the signs Mark.
Its because of people like you that thousands of young australians lay buried on the shores of Gallipoli.
Its because of people like you who cant read the signs that General Custer led his cowboys to slaughter...

Sometimes you just have to be aware of where youre at.
How long do i think we should stay last???
Thats just dumb BM.. we are last..(or second last whether we want to or not).. the upside is you can still come lastish and take 2 first round picks and the best uncontracted player available..
Senior group???
What senior group...???
there was only one playing with heart yesterday.. so why keep them around??
Ive seen your list management Mark.. 3 years ago.. you said the list was good and they just need development.. (Pagan sacked a record 1/3 of the list) You said im into "swapcards" ... well seems Denis was too.
Last year you said.. Lance is a gun..and Denis did his damnest to get rid of him for picks.. too bad noone wanted him.
This year you said i dont know what im talking about and you started up a thread called "an intellectual exercise".. where you had Campo on 400k pa for next year... Lance the same as Fev (350k)... when we all know Collingwood have offered in excess of 600k to walk.. (so shows how good your management skills were in 'Intellectual Exercise') you left 10ish players out of the cap to fit in Lance and Campo..

Now youre asking me how long i want to be at the bottom???

Well earth to Blue Mark we are at the bottom.. our senior players are at the wrong side of their careers and we yhave to develop and draft the next lot...

Is this part of your intellectual exercise part 2 exercise Mark???

A question to you... did you really think that we had the stock to pick ourselves up and challenge for a flag inside this decade???
Did you not see the legends parading with the flags around the oval yesterday???
do you really think the Clarke , Bowyers etc will take us to that level??
do you know of any other ways we can bring real talent into the club outside of the draft???

Are you related to Winston Churchill circa ww1 Mark???

StKilda have to get their arse in the eight, and soon...or talk of how good their list is is futile. Can't win a premership from 9th.

In my opinion were a certainty to be playing for at least a finals spot.
Id be disappointed if we didnt make it.
I know the players would be and most of all Denis.
I dont see why the Swannies and the Eagles can do it and we cant.
I really believe we have the guts of a footy side to actually be right up there this year. Injuries can hurt us but we can cover most.
The boys are switched on and there is a togertherness we havent seen at the club since the mid 90s.
I reckon were a 50/50 chance to win tomorrow but in my estimations i am expecting a win.
However, if we dont win it isnt the end of the world. Just put it down to education and remember were not anywhere near where we were on that last round Sunday game against North 2 years ago.
Were back and that gathering storm is just reappearing."

If Bluemark's was an intellectual exercise, then Synbad's was a scientific breakthrough of galactic proportions.

i should have stuck with my gut instinct without getting sucked in by the Wizard Cup...

fair enough, and the point I'm making is that Bluemark was probably just sucked in by the disappointment of our worst season ever and the expectation for coming back with a bang. Hindsight is 20/20, but I think if we can make a play next year for the 8 with the knowledge we have sufficient youth for the future.

if we bottom out this year that is. One year at the bottom is enough. And there won't be Priority picks next year, so winning 10 games won't hurt as much. I'm off to bed I'm not typing very coherently.

You should give Rove a call...he needs some help with his comedy writing. Furfie, or furphy...? What's this rumour I'm supposedly behind? I'd like to know.

Interesting to note, in the three years prior to StKilda "bottoming out" they won 38 games. In the last three years we have won 17 games.

Im expecting another BM thread after our next win.. probably in about 5 to 12 weeks called "What do you have to say now that we won Synbad??"
Plus i thought we would get some leadership from the senior group.. obviously we cant... Its like April Fools Day.. (SUCKED IN!!!)

I don't think we're losing on purpose this year. We will bulk up over the pre season and our kids will get another pre season under their belts but so will every other club. I too was sucked in that we could make the 8 this year but think we need to rebuild before we're a chance.

Well i think.. oif you ask me that the guts wasnt that much of a guts footy side.. players have gone backwards cos last year was an illusion as was the wizzer cup and were a ship without a rudder in games.. if we hit rocks we dont have the captain steering the ship on the field..

Ill never forget the 87 GF when we kicked those early goals in the last and Sticks kicked the last and the players were celebrating and he motioned them with his hands to settle down/We had really already won but Sticks was still in charge.

We need to get a sticks into the side and you wont get sticks with pick 10. By pick 10 the eyes have been picked out of the draft...

We have to look towards 3 or 4 years from now.. Not for tomorrow or next year as much as the next 4 or 5 years.
Im sick of the club living day to day...
arent you???
BTW.. im also waiting for your next thread.....

"Doomsdayers where are you now???"

Why not put it up now???
