Denis has virtually conceded the season is lost on carltonfc.com.au today by saying that the draft pick penalties have effected our performances, and it's going to take time to turn it around, and that we have o be patient. This is not being rude at all, but we all knew this, and now we have to accept that our season is over.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is giving a hidden message that we will be playing now for draft picks.

I think we should be playing Carlos and get Livo back asap to give us some size. They may or may not be great players, but all signs are positive for them, and what I think is important is that they are, at least big guys.

We must keep our chin up and all support our club who have given us so much joy over many years, in their darkest times. Even in those darkest times, we have seen moments of joy, such as a great year last year and fantiastic pre-season this year. This is all a credit to Denis Pagan who is doing a terrific job.

Go Blues. We will be back!

If it's supposed to be a hidden message, it's not very well hidden.

Even some middle aged members of the cheer squad could decipher that one.

My thoughts exactly. Pagan fans......NOW you know why i don't like him. What the @#$%&! is that gonna achieve. How in the @#$%&! is that going to restore faith in the players with stupid comments such as that.

Quite frankly, i hope we do come last, and get the stupid priority picks that we are forever chasing like it's a quick magical fix to all our problems. THAT WAY................Dennis has no more excuses!

From what Kevin Sheehan has said "National Talent Manager" that the draft is looking very very thin this year. The top 10-15 will be very even.......

Sheehan also said that the 2007 draft is going to be a ripper. A lot of those kids to will play in this years national championships but are ineligible until the following year.

Sometimes faith is within and not of what others say that inspires us to believe in ourselves, so to the players are responsible for thier own faith in themselves. The sooner they realise this the better it would benifit them (the players)and what others say may it be a critisism or praise is irrelavent unless you start believing it, then they as players have choices and so does thCFC. So l don't believe Paganis at fault here andl don't think early picks will be the quick fix but it would help.

I read the article 3 times. I don't seem to be able to find that comment.

If you are going to bag a bloke atleast quote him accurately.

Well said rodent. I couldn't agree with you more. Early draft picks would help, but it is not a panacea.

Pagan is not the first coach to be frank about his list. Tell me a coach who doesn't want to improve his list!

Everything seems so bad because we're getting done, but things can change, even though it doesn't feel like it at the moment.

Pagan haters you may have a point though about some of the things Pagan does. I think his game plan doesn't suit the type of players we have. He, in my humblest of opinions, should mix it up a bit more maybe.
Out list is small. Maybe chipping it around from time to time - not all the time.

Well, it's true, I'm not Denis Pagan

But, but... that Mitch Clark kid sounds like a ripper... I don't think we will finish last or get a PP though.
