PROS
Waite, so mercurial
Kouta
Endeavour generally
Harts debut
The kids - gibbs, murph, even joey, houla forward
Staying positive, coming back after half time and continuing to attack without resorting to the flood.
I nearly posted at 1/4 time that i had seen enough to encourgage me for the future
That I didn't swear once or chuck the remote!!!

CONS
Game time for some again like JK and harts (will be interested to see stats)
Thornton, how come his opponent seems to get away from him so often
Lappin lairising trying to kick out of the air when he had time to grab it.
Some decisons
Saddington not hard enough one-on-one when his puch away was so feeble that the opponent recoved the ball, ran aound on the boundary and the goaled.

We led the team second on the ladder by a point in the last quarter and eventually went down by 19. We showed glimpses of whats to come when the players have a few more seasons under their belt.

Pros:
• Waite was great. Fisher had a good couple of quarters.
• Houla was in the RIGHT position for most of the match.
• Those sneaky handballs to goals in the first.
• Harlett's save.

Cons:
• We lost by more than 9 points.
• Umpires.
• Some of those points could have easily been goals.

Deja Vu all over again.

Just watched the game on tv, so much the same as all our under 4 goal losses. Played some exciting footy and just not the experience and finesse to finish off.

Very exciting to see Waite and Gibbs strut their stuff.
Blackers - fearless and knows where to go but he must work on that kicking, no confidence at all!
Fish - great hands
Kouta - more flashes than last week, great crumbing goal!
Simmo - love his run!
Joey went ok
Walks busts a gut and with better players around him he will be a star!
Not sure about Ackland, too hard to see on tv about how much work he did.
Scotland - horrible up and under nothing kicks into our F50, kills any momentum coming forward, did it too many times.
Hate to lose but....

Ah yes. The good old honourable loss.

PROS

1) Carrazzo - kept edwards to 10 possies and played well. Disposal improved out of sight

2) Fisher - a genuine forward option. Kicks goals consistently

3) Walker - goodwin got a lot of footy, but I reckon AW almost broke even and it was good to see him out of the backline. BTW, not that its relevant, but McBurney crucified AW on numerous occasions.

4) Simmo - Played really well. Still can;t believe opposition don't jockey on his left foot though. Surely it's coming.

5) Gibbs - polish, pure polish

Special mention - waite (would still like him to become more even. his 2 nd quarter was poor), kouta (outstanding)

CONS

1) Denis and his suicidal gameplan - BOMBS AWAY. we were even with 20 mins to go. If we didn;t bomb and turnover inside 50 we could've won. But Denis' PP gameplan commands us to bomb

2) Kennedy in ruck - we want him to be CHF for 10 years, why play him there

3) Our defensive I50:score ratio - Every time the opposition go in they score. Combination of bad defence and lack of midfield pressure. I still think we don;t force turnovers in between the arcs

4) Kick outs - we have no system

For the first time in a while, I don't have any more cons - just Denis and his BOMBS AWAY game plan. No system

Positives:

JW - awesome when he's on song.
Carrats - shut Edwards out of the game.
Houla - did what he was asked exceptionally well
Kouta - glimpses of the 90's. Moist when he snapped that goal in the third.
Ackland - best game for us

Negs:

Fisher being dragged - that was crap. He had two kicks in a row go to the worst possible spot, making it almost impossible to contest. Crap call.
JW - his worst is really shit.
Harts amount of game time.
JK amount of gametime
Joey amount of gametime. When it was so close in the last it was clear we would be run over because we had three lads on the bench who had played about 25 minutes each. Dumb.
Scum in green. Mystifying decisions most of the day - both ways.
Dwayne Russell - useless ****. Worst commentator bar none.

Pros:
Waites game
Simmo's busting runs through the center
Murphy fighting back with some great form
Our style of footy
Another game into the kids
Fevola fighting through
Kouta playing some great footy
Our midfielders actually looking for alternative options inside 50.
Gibbs played well.

Cons:
Our 2nd quarter effort
Waites goal kicking
Fisher's goal kicking
Anderson and Hartlett struggled at this level
Blackwell's Inside 50 kicking wasn't so pretty today
Bentick still hasn't stepped up
We lost

Once again we seem to run out of legs when we need to keep on running..but thats what happens with a young side... the team gave 100% and except for one bad quarter we really pushed one of the best sides in the comp....

Pros:

Waite - Games like this really wet the appetite.. Athletic, Safe hands... Does all the hard work but sometimes misses the easiest part of the execution.... Pro and Con at the same time today.. I wanted to see him kick 6 or 7 with the chances he had today... but all in all great game.. really adds flexibility when you have a player who can play both ends, but we need consistancy.

Carrots - Did a great job on edwards (10 touches) and really got into his head.

Gibbs - Best game for the club IMO... was really balanced and set up play nicely

PP- Close lose, plenty to hang your hat on... but the PP is still on!!!

Second Qtr - See PP (had to add that to annoy all the anti-tankers)

Kouta - For those who thought he shouldn't be in our side please see his clearance work today... I dont know if it is a good thing or not that at this stage he is still clearly in our best 18

Forward Structure - looked much better today with multiple targets of Fev, Fish and Waite (and Whits at times...)

Simmo - I used to bash him (together with Simonverbeek)... he has grown on me... under-rated by opposition teams IMO.

Cons:

Umpiring - Useless.. some of the decisions baffled me.

Delivery into forward 50- some of our delivery into forward 50 at times was terrible...

Blackwell Disposal - If you look back to the previous weeks I have been a wrap for this kid as I THOUGHT he had used the ball well.. today wasn't one of his best, but he will learn....

Anderson - Now, I know I wont be popular for slagging of another youngster (who didnt get much game time I may add) but considering he is a defender was anyone else concerned about how when porplyzia kicked his first two goals Anderson was terribly out of position... Accoutnability doesn't look great but give the kid a good go and show us what he has.. I think he has plenty of upside......

Kennedy - Still not showing much. Really want him to dominate.. When he took that good mark in the third qtr I thought "go back kick it and get everyone off your back"... what does he do?? Out on the full!!!

By the way.. Didnt want to put it as a Pro but, was it just me or did Houla play a defensive role well today?? Good game on Mcleod.

we lost
That @#$%&! holding the ball rule - I dare anyone to @#$%&! work it out!
That @#$%&! in the back rule - I dare anyone to @#$%&! work it out!

why are @#$%&! umpires bald? I'm the one losing my hair! I don't get it, is it some inverse @#$%&! rule of the universe?????

Bombs away!

Didn't know we tolerated players gifting the opposition goals against the run of play. They deserved to be benched.

There comes a time, when, knowing that finals are pretty much out of reach for the Blueboys, that one must think of what is worst for the filth.

Therefore, looking at the ladder, the biggest pro I can think of is the fact that Adelaide's win was worse for the filth than a Carlton win would have been.

If Carlton aren't going to threaten, I'll be damned if the filth will.

that was the best thing he done all day!!

got what he deserved for wasting t-bird's time talking about nothing

and i'm glad we've finally figured out that there actually are players other than fev who we can pass to in our forward 50. great game from murph, gibbs, waite and good 50th for carrots.

Yep Kennedy, hartlett and Anderson dominating the bench once again, Kennedy has to be the best on bench week in week out.

You guys do realise that at any one time we have to have 4 guys on the bench?
