Reading thru all the threads that hit on getting rid of Pagan because some of the kids are not flourishing under him, made me think about which players have gone thru a change of coach and have actually gotten better.

A player that comes to mind is Petiffer at the Tigers - under Frawley - so so player, under Plough - very good half forward.

Milne for my mind has gone backward a bit under Lyon versus Thomas.

I'm looking forward to seeing how some of our players go once DP has left, to see what type of influence he had on them.

Any other examples that you can come up with where a player has improved since his coach had left.

ditto the crows when Ayres left, in fact, they are a perfect example of a team that didn't change that much but improved a hell of a lot with a coach change - of course I need footygeek to back me up on this

In fact they lost players!

The same thing will apply for us when the team believes in itself again.

I think the great man went about it the wrong way by publicly coming out and saying that DP was safe as long as we didnt have a season like the last two.

He should have told the players that if we make finals Pagan would be gone.

We would have won # 17 :-D

Have you got any evidence whatsoever that he's lost the players?

He's lost the players because they're losing?

Consistant blowouts over a short period are a fair sign that a coach has lost his players. Tough fought out loses were the team comes back after a bad quarter revved up and having a real dig, and regularly saying in articles that they love the coach and that he's really helped them develop their game are NOT a sign of a coach who's lost his players.

There are plenty of reasons for the club to sack Pagan at the end of the year, but losing the faith of the players isn't one of them so stop making up crap just because you want it to be true.

That's one player. DP praised him today too.
