The funny thing is, that it almost always backfires, because Lance doesn't really have the athleticism to get in the space and cut off the leads anyway.

Pros:
Lots of good performances from different players.

Cons:
Tackling pressure in our defence really cost us tonight.
I like that Carrazzo and Walker are being developed further up the ground, but we really need to develop some other medium defenders who can shut down dangerous forwards.

What a flower idiotic thing to say.
Even this wanker is not a gun.

Didn't kick the goals again when we needed them - twice and they were flower easy for such a "gun".

This cretin - as good as he is - is by no means a superstar and not even close to being a gun.

His crucial misses only served to relieve the pressure we had worked hard to maintain up to those particular points in time and on both occasions, North rebounded for easy goals.
He kicks those easy goals like he is supposed to be so good at doing, and different story.

NEWSFLASH. He does this every flower week!!

On occasion he makes up for it (Essendon*, Adelaide, North a few years ago) but FFS I would rather he kick these goals when we need them than arsehole snaps for goal from the pocket when the game is already over.

UNRELIABLE wanker - at best.
Frustrating flower - without a doubt.

I fully agree with the sentiments. You never know which ne is agoing to turn up - the village idiot or the potential star. That is his problem - he is old enough now to stop have "potential" just do as "guns" are supposed to when it really counts! While we rely solely on Fev we will never take the next step.

Excuses excuses excuses...too young is getting old as an excuse

Hey BlueDW do you think players grow 3 years older in a fortnight??? Young is going to be the excuse for at least the remainder of this year and probably much of next year also - because it's a FACT! Just look at how many collective games the majority of our team has played. It's pretty obvious there is still a lot of improvement to come. Players don't peak until they are in their mid 20s and have over 50 games of experience. You guys have gota chill. Way too emotional.

Pros:
Kicked a lot of goals and played attacking football
Forward line functioned well.
Simmo finished well
We look good when we can get the ball out of the middle.

Cons:
Pagan still not positioning players according to their strengths. (Houlihan is not a backman - ever)
Our midfield is crying out for pace and extra numbers while Walker and Gibbs get jammed deep in defence.
Grossly over umpired game.
Umpires fell for every staged free that occurred.
Our defence is like tissue paper.

yes ... in a side that is performing badly and has only won 2 games, Fev is only leading the competition in goal kicking. How disappointing. He obviously isn't consistant enough if he has only kicked more goals that EVERYONE else in the competition at this stage

I felt for Jarrad Waite last night, he was thrown around absolutely everywhere and to a degree was unable to get settled into playing a set position.

Lance was good across half forward, as was Fish, who surely is one of the most underrated footballers going around.

Was impressed with Bentick, Blackwell and Carrazzo once again in the guts, but Pagan's rotations left a sour taste in my mouth and how he managed the on ballers in the critical 2nd half.

Kouta gave away two bullshit frees that resulted in Kangaroos taking it down the field and kicking goals.

Missed a shot at goal, and basically runs around trying to look busy.

Should have retired a champion at the end of last year.

Con: Dale Thomas is no longer my most hated 'Thomas' in the comp. Lindsay Thomas is a little cheating, diving, staging, midget in the competition. I was dying for someone to actually just charge the little prick. If he's going to get free kicks for falling over in marking contests at least make the little cauliflower earn it.

Pro: Fisher has really stepped up this year.

Pro: Nobody fell for the 'playing on the gold coast' gimmick of the shinboner whores. 11,000 people pitched up. Pathetic. They are a joke of a club who are on the way out.

Con: The vacant stares in the eyes of the kids. Footy is fun. They should treat it like that. Maybe they should get a spoonful of Willie Beamen action and just ignore what Pago Pago says and go out and play like they used to when they were running around in juniors.

Er... "potential" = Gibbs. "potential" = Kennedy.

Fev = ACTUAL!!!!! He won the Coleman last year, he's leading it this year, he's 8th on the all-time Carlton goalkicking list and will be 4th by the end of the year.

I can't believe you guys. I could understand that I had to defend him in 2002 and 2003, but now????????

Yep, and he was unreliable against Essendon* where he virtually won the game for us with 8 in a half! A Gun!!

And despite being on one leg booted 5 last night.

And is at the top of the gioalkicking list with 30.

Con’s

Glad people are finally realizing that Houla’s cons far outweigh his pros wherever he’s positioned on the field. When you’re 25 or 26yo and you still display zero defensive pressure there is nowhere on the field to hide in todays game.

Honestly, the way some on here carry on about SuperLance is embarrassing. He was ‘serviceable’ at best for the 1st half and faded again in the 2nd half …only 14 rounds to go……

Dunstall chipped Houla - it's becoming a weekly event, TV commentators picking up "The Imposter's" weaknesses.

Just like lance's second-half fade outs.

Pros: Fisher is starting to look like a real full forward, Fev can't play every game and fish looks like the guy who can step up. some of those marks were unreal. He can kick now too.
Kade Simpsons run off half back. Someone is finally starting to hurt the opposition with good disposal and drive.

Cons: Houlihan, soft doesnt want the football, decision making is poor must be dropped. Bentick, goes in hard and tries but looks unfit. No speed and lack of height hurts as well. (i know).

Bryce Gibbs playing in the pocket. If he has to be down there at least put him on the flank so he can push up the ground and use his speed and good disposal.

Crumbers- everyone tries to be a hero and take the specky-let fev go up its not good when Carazzo thinks his superman and spoils Fev when he has the sit.
