Any news on French?...I was there and on the jumbo screens they showed a replay and it sorta looked like an ankle...but now I read it's a knee? :?

Did they say anything on the telecast?

BTW like most of the youngsters I thought DeLuca started doing better in the ruck as the game went on (and against White!) as opposed to his usual 5 min stints where he gets slaughtererd

I thought knee at first, heard thigh later in the match. Heard he was walking the boundary with doctors....don't think he'd be doing that with a knee.

It looked like a knee but not to serious . Bloody shame though this guy really has some ticker.
It might be good chance to play young Bryan for the next couple of weeks , but I will bet london to a brick they will replace him with Prendagast

On the TV they said that it was a knee, but that it didn't seem to be too serious.

At the post match they said it was a slight strain below his knee, and they expect him to be OK for next week.

He wasn't on crutches or anything like that, looked to be moving OK.

Quad muscle from reports on Triple M.

Question is what happened to Wiggins? No injury report in Herald-Sun? light concussion?

If you say so, Clem, I believe it.

re: Synbad - isn't it better to give them a break? Suerly there's nothing to be gained in playing 2 players who we know to be in our top 5 or 6 putting themselvse through pain. We know they're AFL standard, surely the question is 'who else is AFL standard'?

Id put Stevo and Barney in cotton wool for a couple of weeks and bring in Bryan and someone..actaully id play Carazzo in the midfield... with Bentick and Walker Simmo rotating in out.

Yeah were still trying to win games for out proud supporters...

Barney and Stevo are crucial going forward.
They need a rest...

In the second quarter - late - the centre four were De luca, Bentick, Kouta and Walker, with Simpson on the wing. We did very welll four or so clearances. I thought it had the makings of a good CS combination.

At one stage in the last quarter - Simpson took a centre clearance and kicked it long to Kouta who took a strong mark and kicked a goal. I thought "well heres a plan" lets keep doing it that. But immediately Kouta put himself in the middle and Simpson was out on the wing.

That Simmo centre clearance was sublime. Stole it from a Melbourne player if my eyes weren't deceiving me, then put the foot down and kicked long to a 2 on 2 contest in the goalsquare.
