What a @#$%&! idiotic thing to say.
Even this wanker is not a gun.

Didn't kick the goals again when we needed them - twice and they were @#$%&! easy for such a "gun".

This cretin - as good as he is - is by no means a superstar and not even close to being a gun.

His crucial misses only served to relieve the pressure we had worked hard to maintain up to those particular points in time and on both occasions, North rebounded for easy goals.
He kicks those easy goals like he is supposed to be so good at doing, and different story.

NEWSFLASH. He does this every @#$%&! week!!

On occasion he makes up for it (Essendon*, Adelaide, North a few years ago) but FFS I would rather he kick these goals when we need them than arsehole snaps for goal from the pocket when the game is already over.

UNRELIABLE wanker - at best.
Frustrating flower - without a doubt.

CONS

1) Houla - he is an important rebound player but his opponent kills us too often. Always 5 metres off his man. Wirrpunda, Didack, tonight etc....

The rest of the cons are related to development of our kids by PAGAN

2) Development of Gibbs - Recruited as a once in a generation midfielder, we stick him in the back pocket week after week against fast players. There was one in the last quarter he would've marked last year - but now he punches, and they get a goal. Well done Pagan you tool. FREE GIBBS

3) Development of Walker - Started the season beautifully, he was a PRO in the 1st 3 rounds. Now we stick him on Aaron Edwards in quarter 1. Another player killed by Pagan's "development in the back pocket" theory.

4) Development of Russel - chased Harvey's bum around all night, not gonna learn like that

5) Development of Murphy - is getting caned by taggers, mostly because of Stevens' absence. We can;t find a way to hide him

Good footballers are coming to this club and getting worse!!!!!!!!! It's terrible.

I am really worried about this too. Quality kids come to the club, and seem to have a glass ceiling above them ie. Livo, Wiggins. God I hope this doesnt happen to the ones in now (russell, walker, gibbs, JK etc ). Perhaps it is due to alack of quality senior players to ease their transition, Or maybe our coach who is killing all the creativity these players once had.
Whatever the reason it is becoming increasingly disturbing![/quote]

PROS -

Whitnall continues to gradually improve. Liked the tackle & goal in the 4th, even though it was late in the game.

Fisher's 1st half was excellent

Waite took an amazing mark, couldn't believe it

Essendon* won & are one game closer to missing a PP

Nice long goal from Simpson

CONS -

The 1st half was possibly the most over-umpired footy can get

I don't like Setanta in the ruck at this stage...it's too hard an art to learn this early. Just play him in defence or even try him out fwd

Walker looks frustrated...wouldn't mind seeing him played as a half fwd for a while just to ease him up a bit, but that won't happen.

Another game when Harvey & Grant shat on us.

pros-

Footy tipping.

You would have to be mad to tip Carlton against any team with the placements and game plan the Blues have. I haven't tipped Carlton since round 2 or 3. Easy points.

Cons-

Bryce Gibbs has shown little as he has been made into the handpass king from the back pocket.

I wouldn't ever tip against us and I'm still 2nd in the Footy Tipping at work!

It's coming it really is
We've kicked 18 goals twice and still lost.
None of the flooding shit

Young bodies getting bumped off the ball by experience and tired footballers who have given it their all for a half taking a break at the wrong time ( 3rd QTR) cost us.
Also No real game breakers... Miss Stevo and ( can't believe I'm saying this) Eddie Betts.

BUT I DO BELIEVE....
It's coming

Pro:
-Fev on one leg was outstanding.
-Lukey Blackwell was good
- One step closer to the PP (trying to work out where our next win will come from)

Cons:
-No senior players except Fev put their hand up when North came back at us in the 3rd qtr
- Too many of our young kids Russell, Walker, Gibbs are made to play defensive roles which do not suit their natural style of game

Brittain said it all in SEN’s call. The coaching panel are incompetent (well he didn’t say that directly but that was the message)

- When we were flying, DP too often decides to go defensive allowing the roos to pile on quick goals, i.e late in the 1st. He has noticed this in other games
- Defensive match-ups and midfield rotations were wrong. He repeated on numerous occasion especially in the 3rd and 4th quarters to release Houlihan and Gibbs up the ground as we wouldn’t be able to sustain our run. Doesn’t happen.
- Mentioned how you need to ascertain what players can do and Houlihan’s attributes are better suited up the ground. Gibbs as well. He is being left to the slaughter in defence playing on nimble forwards not suited to his game
- Our players too often play dumb footy – either with general play or giving away silly freekicks (again mentioned Houlihan). Responsibility of the coaches

I understand that players need to learn defensive aspects to their game but the handling of Gibbs is really starting to piss me off!!! It is probably too late for Walker (do people still remember his debut game? He could’ve become anything!) and Russell isn’t far behind. Gibbs is slowly being destroyed as a footballer

I can only hope for two things in 2007.
1. We qualify for the PP
2. Pagan is gone by years end

What he said (minus the part about it being too late for Walker)

Pro’s

Fish & Fevola are a very dangerous combo. Throw in Kennedy/Hartlett/Edwards/Benjamin and a new coach next year and our forward line is potent.
Won’t be long before Murph, Carrotts, AB & Simmo are as match hardened as other teams midfielders.

Con’s

Glad people are finally realizing that Houla’s cons far outweigh his pros wherever he’s positioned on the field. When you’re 25 or 26yo and you still display zero defensive pressure there is nowhere on the field to hide in todays game.

Honestly, the way some on here carry on about SuperLance is embarrassing. He was ‘serviceable’ at best for the 1st half and faded again in the 2nd half …only 14 rounds to go…

Players playing out of position. AW looked bemused with what was going on. Gibbs needs to be on a wing or half forward. Ando needs to be in the back half. Russell needs to be running/attacking on a wing ala Simmo. Setanta needs to be our FB. Waitey needs to be our CHB. JK needs to be a tall forward/changing ruck. Flint should be at half back replacing Houla. Benjamin should be in the forward half replacing Young..I could go on…

The guy goes off injured with a leg injury and still plays out the game basically on one leg and you're slagging him off...

Why you don't you check all the pertinent facts before trying to construct an argument that has no basis whatsoever?

Junk time goals....well, last week it wasn't Fev with junk time goals, it was Russell and Fisher. Our midfield is getting soundly beaten and you expect Fevola to kick goals without decent supply from midfield. The fact he kicked 5 is amazing in and of itself.
