Very proud of big Setanta today.
Ran and played his heart out for the blues in a role he should never have been asked to play, which is a scathing indictment on Ackland and whoever signed him for 3 years.

I thought Setanta was great today in the ruck.

When the ball hits the ground he becomes another midfielder. His second efforts after contesting the ruck today were first rate.

Seemed like they were hitting the ball to the oppositions side of the contest a lot today though. Not sure whether that would have been under instructions or not. Seemed a bit strange.

What crap. If we'd expected him to win the matchup, yes, that's not fair, but I'm so tired of this "Player X is an out-and-out player for this position" crap.

All well and good to groom players for a particular role, but to suggest it's some sort of travesty that they get shuffled around for team need is an utter joke.

Setanta is a 199 cm, 100 kg full back, and despite his athleticism and hardness, he will have unfavourable matchups, or matchups that he will split with another player.

Or we could have 22 players like Bentick who can only do one thing.

I hope we pursue the 'someone else' option instead of the peter street option

That's the only thing i will congratulate Pagan on today! LOVED the Setanta to ruck move and i thought he did quite well!

Won about double the amount of hit-outs that Ackland did.

When he got run down, i felt for him because he really had no leads and no comunication with any of his team-mates.

Great game, one of our best!

Street is above Minson in the pecking order at the Dogs at the moment.

Between him, Seaby & Jamar there's some viable, and gettable options. Street has value as a behemoth in today's game.

Setanta is and Azaike will be a headcase match up for the opposition.

The side is coming along, and we will get some more quality kids this year to ensure we can keep up with the big boys, especially Hawthorn.

I'm delighted to read that Aisake was once again amongst the best for the Bullants today.

Remember that he is 2.5 years younger than Setanta......lots of upside!!

Yes it was indeed a wonderful effort from Setanta today.

Cant wait until Aisake gets into the team.

Doug Bigelow is a big fan of both these players, but he didnt like Mark Maclure.

I'm not sure you can promote a rookie after a mid-season retirement anyway.

Don't forget the Bullants are on the ABC today from 1pm. Tape the game if you're heading to the G or are otherwise unable to watch and see for yourself where Aisake is at.

*bump* Its on now
