Last year when The Argus (sic) had it's Carlton member's promotion, I signed up and even though I got the paper over summer it was still good to have it coming in each Friday, Sat'dy Sun'dy and Mon'dy.

Just got a letter today saying they are doing something similar this year with a Sports Special where you get 52 weeks of Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon papers for the grand total of $25. (saving of 97%).

Strangely enough this is the Carlton deal only according to the girl on the phone but she mentioned they also had St. Kilda deals and Essendon* deals.

I thought we were the only ones.

anyway, just letting you all know that if you are interested, give them a call.

i am not affiliated with the Argus at all, just letting the Blues family know about a good deal

Ours expired a few weeks ago but no one at the Age or CFC seemed to be able to help with extending it - great to see it get another life. That's a great deal for sure.

yep! Mrs kk is taking this offer up - and she thought footy was a waste of time! Better deal this year - 52 weeks instead of 26

....Interesting.

I was under the impression that it's not a deal with Carlton any more. If you signed up last year they created an "Age " account and now it's a deal for account holders.

Was told as much last month when the offer expired....and yes, got the letter yesterday but they said it's their "sports" option ..one of three and not really to do with any club.

I could be wrong, but .....

I feel sorry for the Club and my newsagent (who I buy the paper through regardless) as I feel they are probably both being dudded

Well all I know is that the lady I spoke to mentioned the Carlton deal, the Essendon* and St. Kilda deals.

I just hope that the Club is getting a % of sales.

Pity that this had to be only for those who signed up last year (didn't know that) but it really is a great deal.

You should get the letter then.
My name was not registered even though I had the letter with me. Weird!
Wasn't even registered under my business name which is what the letter was sent to.
Mind you, now I will be forced to read all the tripe that "The Lipsticked Rottweiller" (circa
The World's First AFL Podcast will come up with instead of the other rubbish that Robbo Bombre (Bloke reminds me of Nacho Libre for some reason) prints.
There are no winners out of that equation
