The question remains

Do we sack Pagan now and give one of our assistants a chance to prove themselves until seasons end, or do we wait and flash the cash at years end?

Depends on how many beatings there are. The likelihood of a sacking will snowball if we slip into another long losing streak, littered with some hidings.

Yes Rehn had huge wraps last year - at the Lions now? Would be good also for our young ruck talent as well.

Well Rehn tutored JR and Harts during his time at West Adelaide. Would do wonders for both players confidence to have a coach who knows how to get the best out of them.

a great mentor and great developer of talent. we would do ourselves no disservice to have him as our next coach. definately one to be shortlisted.

my shortlist now consists of:

REHN
O'DONNEL
HARVEY
BOND
MCKENNA*
LONGMIRE

*my go to guy. the one we should throw the big bucks at

I don't understand why you would want to go with unproven men.

Get the best, and the best currently is Roos or Woosha. Give them the best assistants, and that would be Voss and Buckley, with Bond and Longmire the only ones on your list I consider to be strong. Maybe even Rehn.

What's so good about Harvey anyway?

The guy is just waiting for Sheeds to @#$%&! off so he can coach Essendon* and chances are he won't get the job anyway.

Like your list apart from that prick Harvey. Just get the best!

if we were going for tried coaches i would approach woosh first- learnt some of his trade at carlton and plays great man on man footy. would be forced to be a little creative, not exactly having the same calibre of stars at carlton as he does at the moment.

but the simple fact is that Worsfold and Roos will not leave the clubs they are at.

Can't have that thinking Nick. If we did we would not have recruited Swann!

Shoot for the stars I say.

Exactly.

Everyone has a price we just need to find out what Roos and Woosha's are!

I would say Roos is more of a chance.

He might welcome a return to his home town of Melbourne, where as Worsfold is a Perth guy through and through.

You can rule out Mick McGuane as a potential assistant coach then . . .

And an Eagles man through and through. He's at a club with good resources, a good list that he loves. He might use us as leverage to get a better deal with West Coast, but that's all any negotiations would be.

Yeah

I want Carlton to be successful but also play attractive footy...

If I saw Carlton playing Sydney I probably wouldn’t go to any games...
