Can those posters who were so successful in the recent elections at getting the candidates to come here and talk.
Can they get Pagan online

I would love to know what he is trying to do and where he thinks the playing list is at .

I want him to explain the thought process that went into using Walker to tag Thomas .

Wallace and his President just faced the media and apologised for their perfomance against Geelong and gave a good response to their supporters of the situation they are in . We are into our sixth year of being ground into the dirt I want them to explain to us where we are going and what is their plan , because judging by the responses here every week we are all confused .

Pagan come on line and talk to us

Won't happen.

Pagan's too old school, and so hasn't discovered the internet yet.

Well, when i spoke to him last year he was very honest and open with me and never seemed 'above me' or, you know, had that mentality of 'why am i explaining myself to you?' kindaof attitude.

But most of what he promised me hasn't really changed, that's why i'm a bit upset. The only real change he has made this season is we don't flood anywhere near the amount we flooded last year, which is good.

We still play too defensive, we still have no direction forward of the half back line, we are still to Fev-Reliant, blah blah blah!

We made a promise that if he makes some changes i will offer him my full support...................and i am really struggling.

great idea

can we also get the players online to ask them

why do they miss set shots from 30 meters out?
why do they miss handballs 7 meters away?
why do they always look for fev?
why they don't man up on their direct opponent?
why can't they hold their tackles?
why do they pull out of contests?

What a great idea  DP could come online and certain posters could take pot shots at him.

This would achieve two things;

1. it would make those posters feel really good about themselves from behind their computer screens, and

2. would be a total waste of DP's time as he wouldn't be able to change people's views.

Also why should he listen to or take advice from face less people over the net? If you've got a query or concern , then write to him, ring him or go to Princes Park make an appointment and speak to him. I'm sure that he will give you the amount of time that you deserve.

I think I am happier in my world if ignorance, assuming that Pagan has a plan and is working towards something big.

I fear if he gets on-line or actually opens up with anyone it'll because blatantly apparent that he is relying on years-old methodologies, match-ups and gameplans that have been surpassed in the modern game.

Last time a "supporter" tried to ask him a question in person, face to face, he ignored him and told him to "pull your head in"!

Yep I'm sure he'll give you the time you deserve!

so I take Ockham you think Pagan is beyond approach he is at an elite level that he shouldn't have to answer to the people who are paying for his salary - If it was good enough for board members to come on here why should Pagan be exempt - and how do you know I haven't tried to contact him before ;
So Ockham tell me are you happy with the side current progress - you want to see Den Den signed up for another few years and not be accountable for his actions . Are you going to be his mouth piece and explain the tactical moves such as Walker tagging Thomas or the brilliant tactic against the saints in flooding our forward fifty
We are faceless people in the crowd = there are faceless people over the radio why would the net be any different.

If DP came on here and mapped out where it was going I am certain he could change quite a few peoples point of view - Look at the effect it had on Ryan

Surrey,

Have you ever considered that the supporter to whom you refer did in fact get the amount of time that they deserved, given the forum they approached Denis in and the manner of the question.

I was very disappointed with Pagan's actions that day. He should have never reacted in that way. The word "Belittling" comes to mind and there was no need for that. I expected better.

What if we throw some hard questions and the possible follow up questions should his answers fall under the heading of cliche and then let him answer them.

I found with the Board Members Q&A, there were far too many questions asked and that most of the questions were not actually answered.

Having said that, I'm sure DP is looking forward to season's end so that his tenure at Carlton will come to an end and he can close this chapter of his life for ever.

How about this then;

Delegate one person, say Sydney Blue, to collate questions from ALL TC's and send an email to Pagan from all. SB could then keep us all abreast of the responses and Denis can answer these in a timely, well organised manner.

Thoughts?

G'day Sydney,

Denis is not beyond "approach", nor even reproach. My post actually suggested 3 methods by which he could be contacted in a polite, professional manner.

The board members came on here because members elect them. They are ultimately answerable to the members. Denis is answerable to the board - not directly to the members. He is an employee of the club - the board members are not. Whilst Denis should be aiming to keep supporters happy by wining I reckon he might have enough on his plate at the moment.

Absolutely not, we are acheiving nowhere near where we shoud be - just can't see any point in DP coming on here and copping a shitcan from faceless posters.

No, and why call him "Den Den", by doing so you are only be-littling yourself.

No, he's big enough to look after himself, I just can't see the benefit in him coming online to cop a hiding from you and other similar minded posters.

We all thought laurained might've copped a battering by TCers but she came out of it smelling like roses to a lot of TCers.

If DP is so confident in his methods I can't see how 1hr a week online with us would be too much to ask.

Ockham your assuming I want to take cheap shots at him

I just want to know whats his plan there doesn't seem to be anything obvious . tongue in cheek shots at his coaching methods amongst other would be coaches on the net is fine. But if the man gave his time I am sure most if not all would respect him

Sydney,

If that was the case then perhaps someone should attempt to make contact with him via Stehpen M or Mark H?

But I reckon it would be over pretty quickly if it became a session full of cheap shots and potting of the tactics.

Also, maybe I'm making my assumption about your intention based upon your signature

regards
Ockham

I think we should send any questions to the admin(s) here, or most senior members, allow them to select the questions to be asked, and then allow Denis to provide answers in his own time and of his own pace.

In fact, I think this should go for any member of the upper eschelon of the club. Whether it be Sticks, Swann, Icke, Barry Mitchell, Brett Ratten or even Pratt himself. There should never be a sense of detachment from the football club you support.

(incidentally, Brett Ratten sometimes drops by my place of work. I'll grill him if I get a chance next time  )
