Thanks SAS87

So what was Edwards' injury? Ankle or foot?

On the CFC site it says he has a bruised heel.

That sounds like an achilles related injury.....

If mclaren is 8 weeks - promote jacobs or aisake

DO IT !!

Let them earn it.

Hopefully Aisake puts in a few more quality performances over the next couple of weeks and puts his hand up.

It's terrible for McLaren because it pretty much ends his AFL career, but it'll be a great opportunity for our young ruckman to game some experience as senior ruckman in the VFL.

Opportunity knocks.

That's a bugger for Cam though. Spewing we won't see him line up against his old team.

Disappointing for Cloke but the Club hs been forced to look to the future with injuries and this will just continue that.

best case scenario for Cloke is he gets 3 or 4 years at Carlton. best case scenario for Carlton is that Aisake gets a hurry up with some time in the ruck. Upsides / Downsides - we're better off with this.

Very bad news, even more so considering he has had shoulder trouble in the past.

Personally would love to see Hampson given a go. But having said that Aisake would be great to see as well.

Bugga! Not again. Worst injury toll we've had for a while.

Get well Clokey!

Now our 2nd and 3rd ruckmen are out. McLaren will spit chips when he hears about this. Just when the door would have opened for him, he's lying on his back.

So, do they go for one of the development rucks in Hampson, Aisake and Jacobs, or do we go for a part-time ruckman?

As far as part-time ruckmen go, the choices would be Lance, JK or Setanta.

Ackland needs a big chop-out as there are question marks over his tank. For a start, having either Lance or JK ruck in the forward 50 goes without saying.

But Lance would lose in the ruck pretty conclusively, even against Bryan let alone Fraser. He might gain some possies around the ground, but that wouldn't necessarily compensate. And the opposing ruckman may well have a field day around the ground and running forwards too.

JK is hardly a specialist either.

Setanta has the height and weight, but has never shown the aptitude. And he's required down back. That would robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I'm warming to the idea of Aisake coming in. He could take them by surprise around the ground. And I'd love to see the Irish boys teaming up together. Can you imagine the intimidation factor with that pair.
