Thornton got a knock to the shin in the final quarter and was struggling to walk after the game.

He will have scans tomorrow to assess the extent of the inury.

Bentick was also struggling with injury during the game.
He suffered it in the second quarter against Brisbane and struggled through the week and the game.

Shouldn't be playing if this was the case.

I'll be extremly dissapointed if that's true.

What's so hard to understand? IF THEY'RE INJURED................DON'T PLAY EM!

Look where we're at with Stevens at the moment. If we hadn't had played him last year whilst he was injured then perhaps he'd be still playing with us now.

For god sake, that's beyond a joke.

yeah and murph had to mind his man and benticks man as well.
bentick is there to protect the runner and if he isn't fit don't play him.. no matter how "tough" he is.. no matter how good murph is he can't take the best tagger and another player the same time.

If it is a 6-8 week injury for a slight crack in the bone or something like that, i won't be too upset.

T-bird is a developed player, and it would allow us to blood another backman like Bower, or Jamo, and enable us to steal pick 1 from wooden spooners richmond

Can't believe I'm saying this but a priority pick would be magnificent this year. Kreuzer and a mid!!

Every week there seems to be another player to add to the injury list

First Kouta..Round 2 Grigg, Round 3 Stevo, Round 4 Fisher, Round 5 Jacobs/Wiggins, Round 6 Thornton

We've actually had a very good injury run over the last few years, which just reinforces how poor our list has been. I wouldn't mind if in the injuries continued to pile up this year. It would force MC to give game time to our developing younger players. And it would help us to gain access to a 'real' priority pick this year, and still maintain a little honour. (I reckon we need one more year of real topping up with top end draft picks.)

We are certainly missing Fisher's 3 goals a game and someone to take the heat off of big Fev. Grigg would have played three games already and we may have seen that potato thing he has with Gibbs. Murph and Gibbs playing with Stevo would have been a sensation. And I think you mean Jackson, not Jacobs.

Here's a little dead-panning - I hate injuries.

Sigh :(

In this scenario Carlton would finish last and suck for another year.

Man, I'm sick of losing, sick of it. 5 years of losing. I can't take it.

This was the year for us not to suck so badly.

I'm not having a go at you mjonc, just dissapointed that we are worse than I thought. When will the misery ever end. When will we ever belt a side, I can't remember the last thrashing we handed out

Dennis (depressed).

I honestly thought we were passed the bigger defeats.

But after the Geelong, West Coast and St Kilda efforts I am still not sure we have passed it, are we getting the most out of our inexperienced / young developing list?

not if richmond finish last with less than 4 wins and we finish 15th with less than 4 wins! :-D

if i'm correct that means picks 1 and 3!

If richmond finish last with 12 points and we finish 15th with 16 points then we will receive pick 2 & 3 and the Tigers would gain pick 1 & 18, it wouldn't make sense if we received pick 1 but didn't finish last.

Vinny You Star - a lot of things don't make sense when it comes to the drafting system.

We will get pick 1 as the Priority Pick in the situation you described VYS - only because the rule has been designed to favour the team with two consecutive years of 4 wins or less in each of the respective years.

We were flowering reamed last year when we were "raped and pillaged" of a proper priority pick last year.

We should welcome this opportunity to gain Pick 1 without winning the wooden spoon (not that it should matter) with flowering open arms and with a well aimed "bird" at "The Spew" and his bunch of "Colin Tripper My Luck is Manys"

We ain't going to win the spoon that's for sure :-D

Looks like we can add Edwards, McLaren and Teague to the list of injuries.

That's 10 players out now. Possibly Kouta and Wiggins to come back this week.
