Not being blessed by the Foxtel fairy...

How did this week's first half compare with the last half against Essendon*?

:?

To me it was better. Brisbane were switched on and we more than matched them. Although we need to work out how to stop our backline leaking like a sieve. DP could have put players behind the ball but decided to let them play, was the most compelling footy this club has played in a long time.

It was free flowing running footy at it's best.....great to watch; and Lance seemed rejuvenated as did Houla and Eddie.....if it wasn't for them kicking 18.1 at one stage; and bloody Jonathan Brown; we'd have been far enough in front to have outlasted them when we tired.

If their had have been normal, not even bad, 12.7 rather than 18.1, then we would have six or seven goals up and the game would have been close to over.

Overall I thought our Brisbane first half was actually better because the goals came from multiple sources not just Fev on fire.

Last week was miles ahead for mine. It was champagne football, to a standard we've not seen from our boys for a very long time.

We really do need to do something about those floggings though.

It might sound crazy, but i didn't think we were 'flogged' by West Coast. Geelong, yeah, we copped a beating, but I reckon most would have taken the treatment that day. Both of those games we got dominated in the midfield and wherever resting midfielders were when they weren't on the ball. All about depth and strong bodies and hunger...

If someone can pitch in and help Murph break the hard tag, then we will be going places.
