This weekend we change back to our old CFC logo on the navy blue. It's a strong part of our heretige, and an image that associates us with our champions of the past. Or should we move on and stick with the newer, corporate look?

The new logo IS our old logo.

It is from our club 'shield'. (look at the top of this webpage)

The only reason we had the monograms as a one piece decal before was because they were sewn on. Technology and practicality prevented the 'sewing on' of the logo we see today.

I prefer the 'sewn on' style of logo. Just looks better I reckon

The old one was their best attempt at the time to make up the logo using bits of material.

The old logo is exactly that, old looking. It may invoke nostalgic feelings, but it hardly screams out "professional football club".

I like the logo we're using for this weeks game (circa 97, I think?), as opposed to the one we've worn for the past few years.

I think that's what the poll was asking?

Old looks good. New is too 'corporatey'

The old logo is the real Carlton guernsey. It should be brought back, but not yet.

The new logo is perfect for the current group of players we have, because many don't deserve to wear the famous old guernsey. So let them wear the new logo.

Then, when we resemble a real Carlton Football Club team again, bring back the triumphant old logo, and Carlton shall once more reign over the scum of the earth.

The shock factor of the new logo on the jumper is over. I hated it at first, but once I realised it was the real logo and got used to it I like it, looks much more professional.

The "new" logo looks much better, but the old one had the magic, I remember the first time I got my hands on a "real' Carlton Jumper and rubbing my hand over the hand sewn CFC, you couldnt buy them in th eshops, they were magical.

Remember the inconsistent size of the CFC on th ejumpers, braddles was huge, Sticks was small.

Simonverbeek - great comment. love it.

I prefer the old one (pre 97) cause the monogram was bolder and thicker -therefore stronger- but as long as the new one is as thick as possible and all one shade of white i can accept it.

I didn't like the 97- 99 version at all . as it was very skinny (the monogram that is)
but over the years they have also modified this new jumper - making the monogram bigger. 2005 version is ok - but still not as good as the old pre 97 monogram. That one is impossible to improve on.

 That bloke in the old old pic in the middle row three from the left is an absolute monster, built like a brick sheizenhousen.

gee, those tight fitting, round collar tops in the 1909 (?) photo look great!! wonder why 2 guys were still wearing the old(est) style?

i know the new tops have brought us much pain and despair, but i prefer them to the older monogram.

The guy in the middle row on the far right must have fallen asleep near some drunk mates who had a razor.
