I agree.

I think he's funny. It cracked me up when they showed that picture of the womans behind specifically in relation to Sam's butt last week and Fev says:

"Looks like your arse from last week Sam"

Bit slow there Fev he obviously wasn't listening, bloody hilarious though. :)

It's all a show. It's played up, staged, exaggerated entertainment. Fev is hot property. It wouldn't be so good if he was his pre 2006 self.

That guy from Kiss made my skin crawl with embarrassment.

I'll tell you something about Fev, he is as passionate about the Carlton Football Club as anyone I have seen or heard, and certaintly doesn't take a backward step when challenged about the club. That alone indicates to me that he should be able to control his own destiny on this show. He is not as silly as he sounds either, it's just that the circus boys love to put people down, ie. other channels, women, etc ... but I for one love the fact FEV is promoting the club every now and then.

Keep up the good work FEV!

It seems to me that his dejected attitude about having 'had enough' is exaggerated too...but i could be wrong.

Digressing...my son had a youth forum for his high school and they had some guest speakers including Glen Archer........Archer was asked who was the best footballer he had played on.....and he said Fev.......raved about Fevs talents and said how unstoppable he was at his best .

Thats a fair call from such a respected player like Archer given some of the champs he has played on and I think some of us dont give Fev the credit he probably deserves.....

Hey Elwood do you work as a voiceover man or something?

When I read your posts, with all these dots linking the points, it reads to me like you have this booming voice over the scene at large and you are trying to link one episode to the next.

For exmaple 'the credit he probably deserves.....', 5 dots no less, reads like you are extending the word deserves until the start of the next thrilling episode like the guy on the Batman TV show from the 60's.

So....

No I am not a voice over man but thanks for asking.......and thanks for the analysis of my writing style........its more about being an average english student and having poor punctuation skills but your version makes me appear far more impressive so i think I'll go with what you said......

As Elwood points out, Fevola is an outstanding footballer who brings a charisma to our club, particularly when he keeps his mouth shut, or is restricted to an interview on the ground, immediately after a win.

Unfortunately, he also appears on the 'Footy Show', much to the embarrassment of our club. Aside from his questioning of Craig Hutchison for his stirring of the Pavlich contract pot, he was an idiot.

Make no mistake, I'm a huge Fevola fan, but if he gave up his appearances on the 'Footy Show' today, it still wouldn't be soon enough.

Well said braddles 21.

He was clearly annoyed but Trev's line - "i'm not going near that one" and after the greasy, not only did fev say under his breath that 'this might be my lst show' but before that, if u listen closely (I IQ'ed it and rewound several times - yes, modern technology is a new verb) he says "@#$%&! hell" under his breath

And thanks braddles for telling me how sam insulted me - i couldn't make it out on listening a few times :)

don't be so silly fellas.
Fev is no dill he knows exactly what he's doing. Not sure if u know this but the footy show is all an act. It's rehearsed. Fev is playing the clown just as crawf does. It's a bit of light entertainment. He's not stupid. It's just part of the show. Mayb not the phone call bit tho...

True Buzzaaah. The phone going off was it.

Straight after that, if you listened very carefully, Fev muttered something along the lines of 'I'm sick of this.... this could be my last time on'. I think one of the hosts was talking at the time so it could barely be heard but he definately wasn't happy. This was probably why he went hard with the water pistol - pretty frustrated and wanted to get payback somehow. Couldn't do it to a better bloke either - Sam Newman showing all his wit and intellect by calling Fev 'Big Chin'. Sounds like the prep playground!

He did mutter something will be interesting to see how many times he appears on the show now. :?

Fev was fine.

Infact it was bloody hysterical how Fev squirted Sam with the water cannon and Sam was so obviously fearful of getting him back.

Fev just kept on soaking that flower for ages.

Let him have his fun...he has a ball.

He didnt look like he was having a ball for the first 20 mins when Sam and Trevor were giving a him a hammering about his intelligence or lack of. This happens evertime he goes on the show. He is made to look like a prize flower.

I know he gets appearance money John M -crikey! I just dont think its good for him or the club that he is made to look stupid.
Never done Crawf any harm. People on here probably think professional wrestling is real too. It's staged. Started with Sam and Jason Dunstall, then Crawf then Fev. Fev looked sh1tty on purpose as it's in the "script". He gets paid well for it. Like Sam get a Sam a million dollars a year to paly up to his public personna. That's showbiz.

I heard Fev's mutterings and i'm sure the f word was dropped in there as well all so faintly.

BTW Fev is not as dumb as what many believe he is. He stuffs up, plays the fool, etc but is insightful when he wants to be.

Agreed -- he doesn't sound that bright by just the way he talks, and so it is easy to write him off as being a little slow on the uptake.

His dig at Huchison though about Pavlich was spot on, and cut through the crap quite well. Also I thought that Fev's game preview just before or after that was delivered pretty nicely.

That's about all I watched. The footy show is a load of $hit these days as far as I'm concerned.

Does Sam Newman have any integrity left within football circles? If he does then blow me down

Fev’s dad didn’t seem to mind of what was going on, in fact he seemed that he was having a good time, in shows like that its hard to tell what its true or put on, what I mean by that is surely they must rehears of what they about to say or do, maybe sometimes it might get out of hand but then that is show business, I never take it to seriously. :)

You guys are mixing up Fev the footballer with Fev the entertainer.
Just cos he is a footballer shouldnt stop Fevola from being on the footy show and earning some extra cash for himself and his young family.
The football Show is a spoof(pun intended) ... and if its a vehicle for Fev to ride on.. good on him!
Then come the weekend we want Fev doing what he does best...kicking goals.. what he does on his footy downtime is up to Fev.
Personally i think its great that its Fev the footballer.. Fev the Copeland trophy winner.. Fev the entertainer... Fev the restauranteur...etc..

Good on Fev!!!
