I reckon Channel Nine's monday night's footy show might be owing Channel Seven one too...

Good luck with the op Stevo.

Who will be next off the Baby Blues conveyor belt of future champions?

On SEN now... Jacko was already promoted for Grigg's LTI.

Which leaves another spot for an elevation.. any ideas who it might be?

Great to hear it's not career ending. Good luck with the operation Stevo. Looking forward to seeing you in better form come 2008 without the pain in the neck!

I imagine Stevo would sit in the coaches' box and help out the midfield matchups - it's not like Denis runs onto the field during 1/4 and 3/4 time addresses :)

Without the pain in the neck - has Denis been sacked?

When did that happen? It's not even Friday. 8)

We won't elevate anyone until we decide to play them. Jackson is certain to play against the Eagles.

Scotland back into the midfield. Jackson and Blackwell its time to stand up and take your opportunities.

Hehehe...I was going to make some sort of a Pagan/Captaincy joke with the "pain in the neck line", but was afraid I'd get shot down for making light of a potentially career threatening injury. Good to see someone else did it for me. :-D

Bad luck for Stevo.
This is a big loss for us, as he was in near career-best form.

But it does create an opportunity for a youngster who isn't currently in the seniors - Blackwell, Jackson, heck, maybe even Bower... Walker / Houlihan to the midfield, Bower to half-back.

I don't think they'll promote anyone else until one of the rookies demands senior selection.

So, get well soon, Stevo. Look forward to having you in the Navy Blue again.

Tough break for Stevo ... was looking the goods for a red hot year.

Get well soon!

In the meantime, if the surgery's successfull Icke should sign him up for another 2 years.

Hopefully Stevo's neck will be 100% for the rest of his career and in the meantime Ryan Jackson develops into a quality midfielder.

If this occurs I'm still confident of us challenging for the flag in 2009/10.

Unfortunately the Karma Train has lost a carriage.

But the silver lining is it will ensure quality game time for:

- Bower
- Blackwell
- Jackson
- Grigg (maybe later in the year)

whereas under normal circumstances Pagan would want them to take a double sided axe and smash the door down into splinter wood before giving them a chance.

All the best Nick - and come back bigger and better next year.
