Love the new av, Deano!

My only move was to proudly wear the guernsey, as per post-win usual. No reactions, though

After spending most of the night in the Emergency department with a sick mum (she should be fine), I didn't get to work until this afternoon.

Straight away I got schtick about how I must have still been out on the town celebrating. 8)

Kept the gloating level to low....just wore a small CFC badge....luckily had 3 reps come into work and nearly throw up when they saw me!

Usually I don't think that is a good thing!

Hi Mrs Caz - Did Goldspink come into your work today? Was he one of the three that nearly threw up? He would have hated Saturdays result, but would have enjoyed the efforts of the yellow team.

I've got a mate who's a St Kilda supporter. We've been mates since primary school, although don't see each other as often these days.

He's a fairly level headed supporter, so deeply scarred by a childhood of St Kilda mediocrity and Carlton Premierships that I don't the he really things St Kilda will ever do anything succerssful in his lifetime.

I got a text message from him after the game, congratualting me on the comeback (hey, that was a lot of physical and emotional exertion at the G!), and saying, "I've just seen the future of Carlton, and I have to admit, it's bloody scary!".

Nice :-D

Hi all... I'm another long time reader, first time poster here.

Approx 9.30am... I walk into the lunch room today, and chatting amongst themselves I see two Essendon* supporters that haven't shut up for the last two weeks!

Anyway, I wait beside them patiently until they finish, and straight faced, in a typically subdued Monday morning tone I ask 'would any of you have a copy of the Age or herald sun'.... they look at me and respond "no sorry"...

I respond "oh ok... its just that I was at the footy on Saturday, and I left before half time... and I am curious to know how much we lost by"

.... boy did that get them going

by the way i never leave at half time for those of you wondering

Hi Kevin,

Hope you've passed on all the good news in the Setanta thread to our Irish friends....

Forget what some have said and how many goals Lloyd scored, our boy had a blinder and has well and truly arrived!
